I am starting a lobbying organization dedicated to representing the interests of the majority. We will poll our membership to determine what issues we will represent. Any issue that reached 65% support or opposition we will contact all of our elected leaders of districts whose polling data is aligned with the national numbers. This will not only enable us to formalize a platform, but also provide the data to support that platform. If you are interested please check out www.lobbydemocracy.com for more information.
We will find out in a couple of weeks. I think that it has the possibility of changing the nature of the system. When membership opens up we will see if others think so as well.
Once the money comes to pay for your generous services, this will be a very formidable force! Way to go.
I do not believe we will find perfection. Humans are flawed. However, I think that the government has lost touch with the will of the people, and with the advances of technology it is something that we can actually address.
Why do you still have so much faith in the system? Do you truly believe in democracy or is what you really believe in the strength of humankind's spirit/intellect to find their way through to a solution?
A solution that is without the same mistakes we've been tripping over for thousands of years?
We will lobby for whatever the majority of our members wants us to lobby on behalf of. That is the glory of it is that nothing is predetermined and I have no idea what exactly we will be lobbying for.
