Greetings 99ers! While showering before work this morning I was struck with a realization. In the time of FDR, to pay for public works and social program, FDR implemented a 66% tax on every million dollars made by the wealthy. He then used those funds to pay for social programs and huge infrastructure projects which pulled us out of the depression, and helped alleviate the suffering of the common people. Did this rather extreme tax eliminate the wealthy? Of course not, and these wealthy of old still paid their employees a living wage, with benefits, and conducted their business with none of the modern tech we presently enjoy. Therefore I submit for your approval that the wealthy of today are shiftless, lazy, and expect that everything should be handed to them. Sound familiar?
