Forum Post: Truth laundering.

In 1931, Al Capone was convicted of tax evasion. Part of the reason he was not convicted of his numerous other crimes was simply that the money trail was too hard to follow back then.It was laundered. "Money laundering is called what it is because that perfectly describes what takes place - illegal, or dirty, money is put through a cycle of transactions, or washed, so that it comes out the other end as legal, or clean, money. In other words, the source of illegally obtained funds is obscured through a succession of transfers and deals in order that those same funds can eventually be made to appear as legitimate income".

Fast forward to today. If at the start of an investigation into a drug cartel you were to ask the investigator who exactly who he is after, his answer will likely be.."we'll see where the trail leads". The trail today is a problem for him to overcome because it's likely paved with laundered money.

As of late, we're still hearing .... "the 99 percent have no clear message". But this too is just the beginning of an investigation. An investigation that very few have been willing to attempt. Partly because it's unpopular with the people who fund the potential investigators, but mostly because it's details are more complex than to simply be summed up in a sound bite. It's been set up that way by the guilty parties and their accomplices in Washington. The trail has been clouded and distorted by diversion and misinformation.... by laundering the truth. Half truths and even lies are put through a cycle of transactions, or washed, so that they come out the other end as legitimate.... or "the truth".

We the people of America are aware that there are crimes being committed against us every day. Like a murder victim, the mutilated body of our economy and the American dream tell us that a crime has been committed here. However, we have a problem in this case. There are no authorities to call, no active forensics team has appeared on the crime scene, snapping pictures and gathering DNA. We are told by the 911 operator to not touch the body, to stay where we are and diversions geared to sooth the loved ones of of the deceased will arrive shortly. And they do, in the form of promises and distraction. However, as with any murder, this one will be very hard to ignore. There will be no statute of limitations. If the perpetrator(s) is to be found , it seems we will have to solve this one ourselves.

We have a list of suspects , Congress, Corporations armed with offshore loopholes, speculators, naked short sellers, banks, lobbyists, trade agreements, Presidents, the supreme court and even ourselves. We also have a jumbled trail to follow...... Record bank bonuses,50 million people who can't see a doctor, 20% of our country's wealth gone, trade agreements encouraging American companies to cut jobs here and hire record numbers over seas, record poverty, unlimited campaign funding allowed by our supreme court, disappearing services,crumbling infrastructure, illegal foreclosures and quiet Congressional raises. All clouded and obscured by your representatives and their nicely packaged sound bites presented to you by a corporate owned media.

So now the investigation begins and we will see where the trail leads.

No thank you congress, FOX, MSNBC, CNN....We will investigate through our own means. We have those means now and your fear has become manifest. As the anger becomes greater and and voices demanding justice grow louder, a growing number of authoritative investigators are picking up the case and lending their expertise as well as credibility.

It's clear that the truth has been laundered here. It's undeniable that the alleged crimes are complex and sometimes baffling. As the trail of evidence, the suspects and charges against them become clear as a result of this investigation, so does the "message" that so many claim has been missing. This isn't optional. Close your eyes, plug your ears. The message grows louder every day.
