I think Trump does speak for a large number of Republicans, Americans should listen and decide if that is a group of people they want to represent us and write laws and such. I think Trump and Sanders each in their way are true and faithful carriers of their parties message, I hope America sees it that way as well. I know where I stand between the two of them and I think the American people would get it right they usually do in the long run even in 2000 and 2014 more people voted for better wages, but the system screwed them.

I think Trump does speak for a large number of Republicans

Which is why sane people are leaving the party - leaving mostly seriously warped people as the main body. Which is also why all sane people need to unite and remove the sick assholes from office.

I think there is an actual path for Trump to win the GOP a few of us were talking about the actual roll out of primaries last night, we will of course know by April next year, but I don't see who beats him, with Trump on top at GOP people will be free to vote for Bernie and we can shake this thing up for real, i really do believe this is possible. I also believe to some extent it may depend on many of the best minds of OWS to see this opportunity and act only time will tell on that.

Things continue to get uglier by the minute in rethuglican-land

This is exactly why sane conservatives are leaving the party in droves.

Bernie will be in Phoenix this Sat. I will be there you got any questions you want me to ask?

I understand the American weapons cartel has been executing resistance in Iraq / Syria on a daily bases for nearly a year now

how does the US government allow such criminal activity

or are they simply unable to stop it ?

Sometimes I wish I could fix all the world's problems, other times I'm glad i'm not responsible to. I would expect like with most things power is dispersed, many different opinions, both within the US and abroad. I try to keep abreast of as much as I can and act to do what I can to affect things, but if I demanded complete control before engagement I expect I would just be stymied in the effort.

I do focus more of my attention directly on wealth inequality and the power of money in politics, in part because I see that as the core problem, people with a great deal at stake tend to be more willing to wage war, we should not let the wealthy decide such things. To enact such a change requires involvement in the electoral system to push it in the desired direction. When one insist on compet. compliance, as you do, before engagement one merely lets the 1% have what want,

stop bombings other nations, can't we simply stop?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

you should start a movement based on that idea and see if you can get it done

people who aren't even willing to vote aren't likely to get much done

you see the problem is you don't care who wins as long as your hands are kept clean, remember we have talked about this

To the contrary I think Trump is a very serious candidate, if the GOP steal away his nomination he should definitely run as an independent. I hope he cuts a 100 million dollar check to his campaign and it's just him and Jeb! in the debates! I want to see Sanders v Trump at least if Trump wins we will know what America wants.

what do the election have to do with what american's want ?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

Americans get exactly what they want with every election.

Mind you it's not what I want, but all America has a chance every couple of years and they get exactly what they collectively want. Take gun control for instance Americans tell pollsters all the time they want stronger gun control, but they vote for less gun control, they say they want higher minimum wage, but in 2014 and 2010 they voted for the elimination of minimum wage. People vote for what they really want, sure a lot of people don't vote, but it doesn't matter what they want,. they don't even care enough to vote and that's pretty easy,

Americans get exactly what they want with every election.

Wellllllllll - those who vote in the majority do anyway.

Problem with that in the last election cycle - people voted against their best interests (Insane? - Yeah I Know) and loaded the senate and congress with enough rethuglicans to start pushing pure crap through government.

Those that don't vote - they choose to take a beating when shit like that happens - because they couldn't be bothered to get involved - or were made to think that their vote means noting so they opt-out in apathy.

This concept stems from a type of spiritual training, it is based on the concept that one actually wants what one puts your time into, for instance we may say we want a tidy kitchen but if we consistently leave it cluttered, what is it we actually want? It is an exercise in aligning action with desire, then it is also useful to align desire with harmony. In other words the goal is to desire to live in a harmonious manner and take action to do so.

Americans must decide they want to live in harmony more than they want to be King before we will take power from the Monarchs within the nation.

I saw a tweet recently that said the secret GOP motto is "Don't tread on my right to tread on others" it is the ability to act as a King within a certain space/company/area that motivates the GOP.

peace is not some sappy unattainable dream

peace right now here in san diego

the US is perfectly capable of not dropping bombs

any soldier that tells me that peace comes from dropping bombs on others is a liar

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

you are not willing to soil your hands to achieve the goal, so it remains a dream

If Rump were to win - then - I would expect the world to end in very nasty way - and in a very short time span.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

If Sanders wins the nomination, Trump might actually think he can win as an independent and go for it, if it were Sanders v Jeb! v The Donald I think that would be good for America, we would have a clear third choice, and Sanders should carry every state.

Problem would be down ballot, GOP might grab the Trump crumbs and hold the congress.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Problem - yes - is the other races - as - even if Bernie wins - he won't be able to do much good - unless the people vote in a senate and congress that supports his program.

Did you see where the Florida districts need to be rewritten/redrawn because the rethugs have been called on "their" map - for - major gerrymandering?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

no I didn't, but will it happen by 2016?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

The redrawing of districts to eliminate the blatant gerrymandering is supposed to be submitted for approval prior to the next election.
