This thing is pure gold.

[-] 3 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I did not know the story about how Romney thought it was great that the women in China were sleeping three to a small room and there was razor wire fences around the factory he planed to buy.

I update the link the show is here.

Here's another good show from HBO on wealth in America, or lack there of.

You beat me on this one - should be amazing -
MSNBC 8PM & 11PM NY time
Ed is a big pro-union guy

[-] 4 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

So what did you think of the interview?

[-] 4 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Did you see it? I'm watching this morning.

[-] 4 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I like what Ed says on TV but I met him once tried to talk to him, he just looked right through me like I wasn't even there. It was kind of eerie. He does support unions and I think he's sincere, it's just folks are folks.

He always pushes the progressive agenda and mostly has great guests. Like this brave 99%'r who has and is putting much at risk.

So another great get by Ed Shultz.

This worker who taped the vulture capitalist Romney is a hero! A dragon slayer.

So if you work for the Alabama government, the Civil War is your fault?
If you are a bank teller, you are to blame for the mortgage disaster?
If you sweep the floors in a Pepsi factory, America's obesity problem is your fault?

If a GE employee tried to pull you out of a burning car, would you say no?

If you don't like GE - post about why - I'm sure we will all read it

Is there anything ED has done that you disagree with? what? why?

[-] 4 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Did you see this yet dad?

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/03/south-carolina-turns-down-medicaid-expansion-that-would-benefit-236000-because-president-obama-is-black.html

Don't worry. they got over the civil war..........................NOT.

[-] 4 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

thanx - I love the first amendment but the "stars & bars" flag -
representing slavery & the greatest traitors in American history - is disgusting

[+] -4 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Hmmm.... why would I not like a multinational corporation, a very old multinational corporation?....hmmmm....

As far as Ed goes, if you like I'll do a critique of his show one of these nights. Its not so much what I disagree with him on, its what he DOESNT say thats the problem. He's just like his cronies on the right, same nonsense, just a different spin. Attack, blame, spin and ignore the root causes.

GE owned MSNBC is part of the problem, not the solution.

[-] 4 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

Again, WHAT did Ed say or do that you object to?
specifically

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Again, its not so much what he says, its his avoidance of the real truth as a mouthpiece that millions take as the 100% truth.

I'll do a breakdown like I did for Hayes next time I get to watch it. Its nothing but mainstream, corporate dribble. I cant recall anything off the top of my head, but I do know everytime Ive given him a shot I want to toss the tv out the window.

I dont need people slamming Republicans, I already know all about em. And I dont need people slamming Dems, or I would watch FOX.

I need news. I need in depth coverage that goes to the root of the problem.

You know, things that companies like GE dont want.

Listen, I know you "trust the people" at MSNBC. And Im sorry to hear that. But I also know that if people are conditioned to think a certain way, about anything, for their entire life, its prob not going to change. Old dog and tricks analogy.

[-] 4 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I will be HAPPY to not trust the people at MSNBC on an issue - when you provide some PROOF that they are lying

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I read the first one & when it quoted brent bozel, I understood
*. editting is not lying
apologizing for a mistake is not lying

Ohio is not settled is lying
Obama is a Muslim is lying
Obama wants to take your guns is lying
Trickle down works is lying
Reagan "forgot" Iran contra is lying
Iraq has WMDs is lying

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Sorry BD - But - Editing in and of itself is not ( necessarily ) lying - it is how the editing is done which would make the difference.

Just sayin.

[-] -2 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

editing is not lying? so you have no problem with this i guess.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/12/12/1169171/-Fox-News-uses-Breitbart-style-video-editing-from-Michigan-RTW-rally-to-show-union-thug-brutality

hey, it's not lying. its editing.

keep your blinders on and believe MSNBC no matter what. life's easy when you let others think for you.

“We did not present the full context of those statements and we should have,” Schultz said, then replaying the full Perry quote that made it clear the “big black cloud” Perry was referring to is the U.S. debt, and not Obama, as Schultz maintained Monday. “No doubt about it, it was a mistake and we regret the error … we should not have included it in our coverage.”

Or when Shultz ranted on his radio show in May of 2012 that "GM and Chrysler never went through bankruptcy"-after he ranted and raved WHEN GM and Chrysler went through bankruptcy on his radio show Schultz's radio show on June 1, 2009, the day of GM's filing.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Oh for shame. A misquote.

" What do you mean, finally when that was done? It was not done."

That's from the transcript in the posting.

This is in reference to the kind of bankruptcy that Romney claimed HE called for.

In other words. it wasn't done in that way.

Hey can I post stuff from media matters? At least they're accurate.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Excuse me?

Ed Shultz radio show transcript- Wednesday May 9th, 2012

"ROMNEY: I pushed the idea of a managed bankruptcy and finally when that was done ...

SCHULTZ (maniacally): WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! What do you mean, finally when that was done? It was not done. It was not done. It was not done. They (pause) reprioritized within the framework of what they had."

Ed Shultz radio transcript-June 1, 2009-

"The big news at this hour, the president just spoke moments ago how General Motors, uh, is, they're filing I guess you could say, just like Chrysler filed. And the president is presenting this as a job savior program and a manufacturing saving maneuver for America. I'm all for it but here's the bottom line. They're going to throw a total of $30 billion into this whole thing to keep GM alive and you and I, the taxpayers, are going to own 60 percent of what's happening. Hey! We now have the majority of General Motors, you and I do. And what's interesting about this is that whoever's running GM, they pretty much get to do whatever they want to do because the president is a little bit nervous that there'll be too many conservatives out there that are going to be claiming that this is socialism. And the president just said in his remarks just moments ago, he's just finished talking as GM files for bankruptcy, he says that there's not going to be any micro-managing. I mean, he didn't use that word micro-managing, but he said when plants are going to get shut down or big decisions are going to be made, it's going to be made by those who are running the company."

BOTH audio clips are linked in the article.

From Romney's OP ED-in 2008-

“A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs,” Romney wrote. “The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.”

The US Government "managed" the "bankruptcy" processes of GM and Chrysler. It's exactly what happened.

If you disagree with that, what kind of bankruptcy WAS done with GM and Chrysler?

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I'm responding to your first quote.

He didn't say that.

Why do keep doing stupid things, like copy and pasting the whole text.

It STILL doesn't say what you said it did.

And now I want to yell at you!!!

BOZO!!!

I just gave you a more accurate interpretation of the text.

A text that in context, is subject to interpretation, yet did not contain the quote you originally posted.....

So nah,nah,nah.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Well, let's see.

You have four.

I have web site with archives.

http://mediamatters.org/

[-] -2 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

An example of FOX like i listed below? So that means those 4 MSNBC examples don't exist? Or that they don't bother you?

Anyway genius, read the posts. We're talking about MSNBC, not Fox. And everybody else does it is a poor excuse. I can't believe you are on this website and would try to excuse any kind of biased lies in the press. Pathetic.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

They gotta keep up with the Jones kid. Ratings and all.

Lies have been selling on FLAKESnews, like candy to kids with pockets full of money.

For many years.

Personally? I don't watch much TV. Movies, baseball, Dexter. That's about it. No TV news.

But hey. I still got you beat.

Want me to repost that, so you can peruse it? It'll take quite a while.

Besides, that 47% guy, is a hero.

FLAKESnews doesn't have any of those. They got Karl Rove instead.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

HeHeHeeee

[-] -1 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

Hardly. Where did you get that from?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

R U lost? U'r question makes no sense 2 the comment U attached it 2.

[-] -2 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

I take it you have no problem with MSNBC bending the truth? As long as it supports your agenda, just go with the flow, right?

fight the power, you rebel you

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Sorry - did not know you were a fan of Karl's.

[-] 0 points by DSamms (-294) 11 years ago

[-] 1 points by shooz (18000) 0 minutes ago

Quote monkey crap again, huh? You still didn't show me where I said that. I merely described for you, how that industry works. I offered no judgement, beyond my hatred of FLAKESnews for making it so. The others have been playing ratings catch up. It's what they do.

Hi shooz. Might have replied to me by mistake. Think you were looking for urbanguy. What's up?

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I was. Sorry. Cat bumped my arm.

You doing OK tonight?

[-] 0 points by DSamms (-294) 11 years ago

Not bad. Wife's not feeling well and I'm a little concerned.

[-] -2 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

Fox lies so its ok for MSNBC to lie. The end justifies the means. Aren't you quite the little Republican.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Quote monkey crap again, huh?

You still didn't show me where I said that.

I merely described for you, how that industry works.

I offered no judgement, beyond my hatred of FLAKESnews for making it so.

The others have been playing ratings catch up.

It's what they do.

[-] -1 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

So, no judgement on MSNBC from you. ok. Still, that's better than bensdad who seems to think they can do no wrong, and as we all know, every news organization can do plenty of wrong.

[-] 0 points by DSamms (-294) 11 years ago

So you come here. Make a little trouble. Pick on the right guys. What's not to like.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I didn't say that.

Show me where I said that.

Lying is bad for your karma.

[-] -1 points by urbanguy (-67) 11 years ago

They gotta keep up with the Jones kid. Ratings and all. Lies have been selling on FLAKESnews, like candy to kids with pockets full of money.

Lies give Fox ratings, so MSNBC has to keep up, right?

Can't you just call bullsh**t on what MSNBC did? Fox is bad, but that doesn't excuse MSNBC. It won't hurt you to call them out on it, I promise. It's really pretty simple

[-] -2 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Holy shit. ARe you stupid? Its not a LIE to avoid the truth you toolbag. FOX does the same shit.

Were you dropped on your head. Repeatedly?

You are one dumb, old donkey. Let me konw when one of your heroes decided to openly endorse that site you have. Or the MTA proposal.

[-] -2 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Don't worry. He's being demoted to weekends in April. No more prime time Ed show.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

5 hours per week to 4 hours per weekend so what?
FYI - his wife just recovered from cancer
maybe being home is a bit more important

What did Ed say or do that you did not like?

[-] 0 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

And your idea about being home more is odd...since now he'll be working 5 days a week on his radio show and adding two more days a week (Sat and Sun) to his work schedule.

[-] -3 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Prime time weeknights vs...less viewership on weekends.

He didn't claim that being home was more important, nor did he mention his wife. You don't get to speak for him.

I don't listen to loud, screaming, angry people who refuse to use reason and facts to back up their OPINIONS. According to his ratings, the vast majority of people watching news during his current show times don't either.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I'm not crazy about his style, but I care about substance.
he may be the strongest supporter of labor on TV

[-] -1 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

Well apparently MSNBC cares about his style-and his lack of viewership, and is moving him. Maybe he'd support labor more effectively if his style didn't matter more to him than they do.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

He did mention his wife - just not on yesterday's show Are you afraid to tell us specifically what he said or did that you dont like.? Are you also against the "loud" OWS protestors ?
or just the people who stand up for workers & unions ?

[-] -3 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

I'm talking about in his reasons for moving to weekends, he did not mention anything about his wife or being home more.

I don't like listening to "loud, screaming, angry people who refuse to use reason and facts to back up their opinions"-no matter who they are. Most people don't.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You don't get to speak for him.

But you do???

I don't listen to loud, screaming, angry people who refuse to use reason and facts to back up their OPINIONS.

Of course you don't - you are too busy screaming your own opinions. Holding forth I do believe it is called.

[-] -3 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

See what I did there? I used the word "I"-because I was speaking for myself. Not Ed Shultz. You can follow that right?

When have you ever witnessed me "screaming my opinions"? Do you understand the difference between facts and opinions? Does that difference matter to you or not?

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Bitsey - you rail against the facts that do not fit your little fictional world.

[-] -3 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

You've given me no facts.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

OH cont-rare - everyone who has experienced your bs in defiance of reality - knows that my comment was/is factual.

[+] -4 points by vaprosvyeh (-400) 11 years ago

So no, you do not understand the difference between a fact and an opinion.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yes I do - the fact "is" that you rail against reality if it does not fit into your little fictional world.

To be determined = if it is "your" fictional world or your employer's.
