Banks are reporting BILLIONS IN PROFITS! The Government Should Protect People from Foreclosures with "PEOPLE BAILOUT" just like the banks got a bailout the people should get a bailout..Whereas the Government failed to PROTECT the people against Wall Street Schemers and Greedy Banking System and whereas the people no longer enjoy domestic tranquility, we the people IN A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE DEMAND BAILOUT FOR those who can no longer afford their mortgages. The government will pay mortgage now and deduct from future tax returns and/or social security payments.
http://youtu.be/J2fjxaRLpQo I meant to embed this shorter video, and by the way I am no endorsing Ron Paul, but this video shows Alan Greenspan and Jim Lerher from PBS and it was on that site.
Hear, hear!
On the one hand, corporations and the wealthiest individuals are amassing, and sitting on, more wealth than ever before. On the other hand, at the same time, there is constant talk of dire national deficit and lack of money to pay for the necessary social programs a decent society needs. At some point, people realize that that doesn't make sense. That is not a sustainable social contract.
You can't have our societies getting ever wealthier at the same time the majority of the people get poorer. Full stop.

Oh isnt this typical, the banks reporting billions in profits all whilst the people suffer, hmm somewhat reminds me of the quote attributed to Marie Antoinette, Let them eat cake. Could I see the banks investing in communities or businesses, without demanding excessive charges and interest on everything they do, to try and help boost the economy?
Can I hell as like, all this will do is feed the shareholders, it was disgraceful of World Governments to bail out these ingrates, instead of investing what was PUBLIC MONEY into jobs and building up a infrastructure to be able to cope with events such as this.
Instead all Governments did across the globe was pander to the elite at the expense of the people. Makes me sick to the core. What is worse although the banks seem to have made profits, they have not regulated their system, so in fact this could happen all over again.
As for the comment below, I live within my own means too, but that does not mean that we are immune to events, higher taxes, higher standards of living, increased prices in food, or utilities, or even increased interest rates on what we have got could all change that it is close, believe me, too close to call.
What is worse neither here nor across the Atlantic, or in any party which we could elect, is there a chance of good sound Government and that could easily kick this off all over again. One only has to think about public expenditure to realize that it is way from being over yet...
Nope. I know the people don't demand that because I am a member of the "people" and I don't support it.
I'm not in debt because I am a minimalist. I live within my means and have not bought a house beyond my income. I have paid off my debts and I'll be damned if I have pay off people who were not so fiscally responsible as me.
If you want the OWS to succeed in ANY of its demands, you need to chose things that everyone would support, not just something that only half would.
