Forum Post: To Make Demands or Not to Make Demands... Yet...

I think it's interesting that some people think OWS desperately needs to state clear demands in order to survive. Seems very small minded to me to do so. It's kind of absurd to make demands and negotiate for things that should be inalienable. Why deprive someone the opportunity to give freely from their humaneness? How could you come up with a list of items representing the fruit of greed to negotiate when the causes will inevitably produce further enumerable results? I'm not saying we should not make demands, but I really like that it hasn't happened yet. It's just fascinating.

There is no reason to make demands, they very well know what the people want, right now the media is playing the willful blindness game. And really,,,Demands? Was somebody taken hostage? Media taint. Makes it sound like somebody is doing something illegal or something. They play dumb and push for a leader and a set of "Demands" so they will have a target to attack. From there it's easy, buy off or disgrace the leader and you have bought or disgraced the followers of the leader. It's how their machine is designed to destroy. They also know people will feel less likely to become actively involved if they feel like somebody else is speaking up for them, back to watching Sunday night football, playing video games and occasionally checking in to see if any progress has been made. It's physiological warfare and we've been manipulated by it for years.

If you have power, people bring you offers. Most of us have never had power.

The whole world is trying to copy this movement. Those who have had the power want to make deals to keep it. We will need to be educated consumers, not be satisfied with cheap superficial solutions. There are smart people in the movement with common interests. There are tools of the1% imbedding themselves as aggressively as possible in the movement to distract and defraud us. External attacks are growing more frequent and vicious.

Because we have no vetting process, we will have to decided what is true, whom to trust and what we will accept. There is much to learn because the problems are complex. Nobody promised, "Easy."

But it is happening. Exciting times.

Consider the trolling, astroturfing, slander, and attempts of the politicos to overtake the movement as signs that the 1% are nervous as hell, and keep on with it. Yay fun.

I think the government know very well what would be in the best interests of the people. Better than most. http://occupywallst.org/forum/family-food-gardens-this-is-the-solution
