I came to this site around 14 years ago to express the opinion that it was time for the GOP to die. That position was not well received especially when HRC got the nomination, I hope that those that are here see the danger now and are perhaps more willing to focus on fighting the actual enemy instead of tearing down the democratic party regardless of it's flaws.
The Dems may not be ideal but they are no where near the existential threat that Repugnicants have been approaching since before Herbert Hoover. And now they are Trump and his MAGAts. America was in deep shit due to the financialization of the past 50 to 70 years. Add to that the rampant fascism of the past 8 years and we'll find it difficult to maintain the illusion of freedom and democracy. Most of us are renters and debt slaves or are about to be so debased.
Failure of the founder's to harreness the power of the movement to weaken the GOP when it could have out of fear of being too politcal, has added to our defeat, it is simular to Marick Garland's fear of "looking politcal" that is putting our nation at risk now, people must stop fearing appearences and take effective action! But with the SCOTUS we have now I fear all is lost, I'll still vote dems all the way as I have for forty plus years but it may not matter this time.
I can agree need to wipe out republicant party. I’m sure billionaires will find some other way to meddle in policy, but at least save the republic from the republicants.
Taking the Supreme Court by cheating, taking the states by cheating.
Needs to be exposed and disposed of, like Germany did to expose the past. Literally, we need museums on this!
Taking power from the GOP is only part of what must be done, but essiential. I promote refundable carbon tax every chance I get, I think it's important we promote actual policies that will help.
The Repugnicants have ever served the billionaires, banksters and about ten percent of the population who have the greatest incomes and net worth taken from the rest of us who do the actual work that produces the material goods and services that support human existence. The ten percent can elect none of the cons they need to run the government for their benefit. Since Brown v. Board in 1954 the Corporatists of the "right" have appealed more and more to the dregs of racists, misogynists, xenophobes, homophobes, neo Nazis and Fascists in order to win elections. We need to shine harsh lights on the degenerate activities of right wing in America. They are taking us down fast. We can't allow the MAGAts to destroy our country.
A very good point, we must defeat the GOP/MAGA everywhere and anywhere all the way up and down the ballot. I also like to push spicfic policy which I believe are key, two of which are single payer health care and a refundable carbon tax both of these would help address spicfic problems and reduce wealth inequality, free public education as well through grade 16 at least.
Ten Percent - the haves - need racists, misogynists, xenophobes, homophobes, neo Nazis and Fascists to vote with them in order to elect Repugnicants!
