I would be interested in comments about Dr. Thomas Sowell's column, "Democracy Versus Mob Rule." It can be found at http://townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/2011/11/02/democracy_versus_mob_rule/page/full/

Dr. Sowell is professing to not understand why people are angry. He seems very out of touch with reality, yet, would like to profit from OWS by writing a column.

Man, that read was a waste of two minutes of my time. What a moron (not me, Sowell).

He's a shill for the right.

He shows his bias against even trying to learn what OWS is about from his first word.

He didn't take the time to find out what we really mean by "the 1%". Hint: It does NOT mean the 99th percentile of annual income in this country.

"Mob rule" is the new buzzword for Sowell and Coulter and the rest.

How about the right to assemble and petition the government for a redress of greivances? How about the right to free expression?

No one is "ruling" anyone. I see people exercising their rights.

pure Democracy is not good. We are a Constitutional Republic with Democratically elected....representatives . Too bad the media keeps calling them leaders........which they are not!

I think what you are looking at is two sides of the same coin. The white sheets that appear daily on the Internet can provide valuable insight, if accurately reported, and offer opinion. But it's all op ed, intended to generate income through writing ability. It's largely ignored by the powers that be. I think well articulated, well organized, non violent attacks intended to cause a disruption of the political process, will be more immediately productive. At the same time, though, we don't want to disengage or disenfranchise those we profess to support. So I think it has to be specific and well articulated.
