Forum Post: This is EXACTLY What Motivates the Occupy Movement

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

They say we don't know what we want and we are confused. They try to tear US down saying we're irrelevant, silly, and lazy. But something obviously MOTIVATES US to do what we're doing.

It would logically seem that if we are MOTIVATED enough to Occupy, endure being pepper sprayed, shot at and hit, arrested peacefully (sometimes), and taking it to the streets, then it only follows that IT is something which MOTIVATES US. We are taking a undeniable stand on something.

Here's an very good article that helps clarify to ALL of us what drives this. What MOTIVATES our movement as it grows.

In Nutshell: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer at an alarming rate unless we stop it.

The middle class is disappearing as the American Dream disappears along with it.

Please take this link, it explains topic very well.................................................................................................................................................................. http://www.alternet.org/occupywallst/152811/the_shocking%2C_graphic_data_that_shows_exactly_what_motivates_the_occupy_movement_/

it really is not an alarming rate - it is more gradual. And if you want to change that - it has to be changed from the inside out. So i hope you vote or at least put up candidates who share your views

blitznstitch, I think it's alarming, but I guess I can understand the gradual part since it's been happening over decades now. But I do think our awakening from our slumber has shocked as we consider how long our way of life has been eroding.

I am in solid agreement with you on voting and voting for those who represent US. It will start with reform. I'm not too idealist that we are going to be getting radical change.

Thanks for your post. I think your wise to know what's ahead. This movement has to translate itself into real results that better our lives. It is on it's way.

Times have changed, it's more than possible.....

Can't say I can disagree there. But, as Winston Churchill once said, It's the best we have.....

Someday when more become aware and educated in the truth of our politicals, if it exists, we can succeed. There's hope.
