It's time to migrate to a new forum. I want an OWS that's a 4chan style imageboard, those sites are much better. This new forum should have lots of janitors to give any undercover attackers and hijackers the boot. We all know the corporations are hiring sweat shop labor and committed neocons to attack this site 24/7.
You are paranoid. Just because other people have different opinions than yours doesn't imply that they are working in sweatshops being paid by corporations, LOL.
So you want this to be an entirely leftist movement? I'd love to see how far that gets you.
Are you implying that we are in a battle with this
“The New World Order” Global Fascism /Corporate world order is a much improved and user friendly version than the original single country Fascism
The new version is called “New World Order”
Pros
• You don’t have to convert your country’s form of government anymore to get Fascism on board. Version 2.0 (Corporatism) will run right on top of capitalism flawlessly and invisibly.
• Violent suppression is no longer required. With the new media ownership comes the ability to shape opinions, create villains and demons, and use fear to motivate war, voting bias, and division of the masses. You will be able to convince most citizens that all problems are related to those who oppose you reaching your goals
• The cost of the upgrade will be paid for by tax breaks and loop holes and a very high percentage of the citizens will think that is a fair deal and will vote for politicians who openly protect your interest.
• The best feature of the Fascism 2.0 is how resilient and indestructible it is. The fact that it is invisible is without a doubt the best feature of Corporatism/fascism2.0
Cons
• 2.0 like the original Fascism is still susceptible to “uprising” virus. But thanks to the new media controls that is easily suppressed by demonizing, demoralizing, denial of a problem or motive, not reporting etc.
• There’s one potential problem: There is one thing that leads to what we call system self-destruct. It is the greed virus. There will never be a problem as long as a greed virus does not develop. When the greed virus creeps in, it triggers the occupation virus, which will create system awareness. This will cause 2.0 to lose it’s transparency and become very opaque. The next thing that happens is internal alienation. At that point the system crashes and will require reloading. It is very likely the system will not allow 2.0 to reload on top of it because of the damage it caused
• Disclaimer: If the 2.0 crashes because the greed virus was allowed to begin the destruction of the system, you warrantee is void

Who do you think the 99% is. Its all of us. You cant control it. No one can. This isnt YOUR movement. This isnt a REPUBLICAN movement. Its not a this movement or a that movement. Its not a Democratic movement because if it were any of these things, well... it could not be the 99%. It would be the 49, 50 or maybe 51%
the 99% means everyone ...lmoa... You've been hijacked!
We all agree we've been screwed so lets follow the money and find out where the 16 Trillion went that they sent offshore to foreign banks and other private accounts without congressional approval. Who did that?
We're all mad about 800 Billion in bailouts (which we should be) while ignoring Trillions of dollars in transferred wealth by the same perpetrators of ALL these fraudulent activities across the board. Who did that? And who out there is naming names?
Jesse Ventura didn't accept corporate money to get elected, so perhaps OWS should talk with him more, I dont know. How do the people here feel about him? He's not a democrat OR a republican. He like to surf a lot.
But I thought you wanted all walks of people to join your movement.
I like how you conveniently left out socialists/communists/far-left liberals/Democrats
Really? Come on . . . where did you get this seemingly regurgitated rhetoric?
Fascism is more aligned with the left who want "bigger government" than the right who oppose big government. Consider the following excerpts fro Wikipedia:
"It [fascism] entails a distinctive type of anti-capitalism and is typically, with a few exceptions, anti-clerical."
"Fascism advocates a state-directed, regulated economy that is dedicated to the nation that supports the use and primacy of regulated private property and private enterprise contingent upon service to the nation or state; the use of state enterprise where private enterprise is failing or is inefficient; pursues autarky; and is hostile to: finance capitalism, plutocracy, the "power of money", and internationalist economics."

It doesn't sound right-wing, conservative or christian to me . . it sounds more leftist . . . actually it could define the "Occupy Wallstreet" movement.
But I have more faith in these people and their movement. I believe they only want change. Figuring out what that change should be is the difficult part.
If you want to be a real problem solver you need to intelligently examine both sides of the debate, find the common thread, identify the problem, and come up with mutually beneficial solutions. None of which is currently being done by Corporations, the Federal Government, of the Occupy Wallstreet movement. Everyone is pointing fingers, calling names and playing the blame game.
they own all u see
ge does own nbc and they also are one of the biggest contractors of the us millitary
By being hard on some of the more fringe elements, I'm supporting the movement. This forum has a lot more to fear from crackpots than from trolls. People are watching this forum to see what the movement is all about, since the movement isn't very good at expressing exactly what it stands for. The chattering here is some of the only information that a lot of people are able to find. You don't want them to come here and form their first impression from reading a bunch of crackpot ideas, like I did. I give those people a hard time to make an effort to marginalize them because I agree with Rico that the movement has to get the crackpots under control or it risks losing credibility forever with the independents and centrists who's support the movement needs.
You forgot Nazis too! No but seriously Julian it's all part of the 99% so I guess you will need to get used to it. And yes we should use an image board style format but you did break rules 1 and 2
It is ridiculous to suggest bribe reform.
For 3 decades they keep claiming to do this and all you people can't catch on to the bribes.
Only public funding with no ads from anybody (an obvious bribe) will prevent bribes.
The OWS ignoring bribery proves they are in the same deep trance as the rest of Americans.
GE owns NBC. GE is the largest producer of medical testing equipment in the world. They also own Universal Studeos and several banks. This is why Oprah, Ellen, and Dr Phil were paid hundreds of millions to contantly plug Countrywide (sup-prime bank), Citibank, medical testing, and every over-paid celebrity pig on the planet. Greed has turned just about every TV show into a commercial for parent companies and corporate sponsors. It makes me sick. We have been mislead by Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, and nearly every other public figure. Economic growth, job creation, and actual prosperity are not necessarily a package deal. In fact, the first two are horribly misunderstood. Economic growth/loss (GDP) is little more than a measure of wealth changing hands. A transfer of currency from one party to another. The rate at which it is traded. This was up until mid ’07′ however, has never been a measure of actual prosperity. Neither has job creation. The phrase itself has been thrown around so often, and in such a generic political manner, that it has come to mean nothing. Of course, we need to have certain things done for the benefit of society as a whole. We need farmers, builders, manufacturers, transporters, teachers, cops, firefighters, soldiers, mechanics, sanitation workers, doctors, managers, and visionaries. Their work is vital. I’ll even go out on a limb and say that we need politicians, attorneys, bankers, investors, and entertainers. In order to keep them productive, we must provide reasonable incentives. We need to compensate each by a fair measure for their actual contributions to society. We need to provide a reasonable scale of income opportunity for every independent adult, every provider, and share responsibility for those who have a legitimate need for aid. In order to achieve and sustain this, we must also address the cost of living and the distribution of wealth. Here, we have failed miserably. The majority have already lost their home equity, their financial security, and their relative buying power. The middle class have actually lost much of their ability to make ends meet, re-pay loans, pay taxes, and support their own economy. The lower class have gone nearly bankrupt. In all, its a multi-trillion dollar loss taken over about 30 years. Millions are under the impression that we need to create more jobs simply to provide more opportunity. as if that would solve the problem. It won’t. Not by a longshot. Jobs don’t necessarily create wealth. In fact, they almost never do. For the mostpart, they only transfer wealth from one party to another. A gain here. A loss there. Appreciation in one community. Depreciation in another. In order to create net wealth, you must harvest a new resource or make more efficient use of one. Either way you must have a reliable and ethical system in place to distribute that newly created wealth in order to benefit society as a whole and prevent a lagging downside. The ‘free market’ just doesn’t cut it. Its a farce. Many of the jobs created are nothing but filler. The promises empty. Sure, unemployment reached an all-time low under Bush. GDP reached an all-time high. But those are both shallow and misleading indicators. In order to gauge actual prosperity, you must consider the economy in human terms. As of ’08′ the average American was working more hours than the previous generation with far less equity to show for it. Consumer debt, forclosure, and bankruptcy were also at all-time highs. As of ’08′, every major American city was riddled with depressed communities, neglected neighborhoods, failing infrastructures, lost revenue, and gang activity. All of this has coincided with massive economic growth and job creation. Meanwhile, the rich have been getting richer and richer and richer even after taxes. Our nation’s wealth has been concentrated. Again, this represents a multi-trillion dollar loss taken by the majority. Its an absolute deal breaker. Bottom line: With or without economic growth or job creation, you must have a system in place to prevent too much wealth from being concentrated at the top. Unfortunately, we don’t. Our economy has become nothing but a giant game of Monopoly. The richest one percent already own nearly 1/2 of all United States wealth. More than double their share before Reagan took office. Still, they want more. They absolutely will not stop. Now, our society as a whole is in serious jeapordy. Greed kills.
Crony Capitalism Kills. Wealth is not a zero sum game.
