This 7th grade girl understands... What will it take for you to understand?
There's another game going on way over our heads. The people are struggling... while the banks with the help of the federal reserve have captured control of our government. Could the threat to our nation's sovereignty be any clearer?
The Federal Reserve creates money out of nothing, gives it to the banks, banks keep it on deposit, gain interest, pays high CEO bonuses, fat cat city... all while the rest of America falls apart.

In the video she explains how Canadian banks, in collusion with the Canadian government, steal billions from Canadians every year. While this is happening everywhere, most Canadians believe (incorrectly) they (and their banks) are immune from bankster fraud. Virtually identical to our problem.
The spiel the girl was making was fully articulated by former congressman Dennis Kucinich in the NEED act, which never made it out of the house finance committee. The proposal of Dennis and the girl is not to end the Fed, but to nationalize it (well, with her to re-nationalize the Canadian central bank). Everyone interested in financial reform should google the NEED act to see how it would recover and then stabilize the economy with full employment.
I think there is a common misconception of the phrase "End the Fed."
End the Rule and Manipulation of the Fed. (longer but more specific)
And Dennis Kucinich is my hero. I've been quoting him and posting about the NEED Act since I joined OWS.
Dennis is actually quoted in this post and my reply below to techjunkie has a link to the NEED Act.
IS THIS THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS OR THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S MEETING FOR GOLDMAN SACHS??? - Dennis Kucinich

It doesn't make much sense for a movement that started in response to a financial crisis and a recession to object to the existence of the Fed, since before the Fed there was a recession or a financial crisis every couple of years. The Fed is an instrument that was set up to provide stability, to protect people who are not wealthy enough to survive in an environment of constant economic uncertainty.

It can be done successfully for the benefit of our country
People always mistake the idea of "End the Fed" for destroying it. End the fed means end the manipulation the fed has on our economy and our government by restoring constitutional primacy on the monetary system
