If you have a checking account at a major bank -- Citibank, BOA, Chase -- move your account to a credit union. I did this yesterday, explaining that I objected to the bank's passing costs of the new federal regs to middle-class customers. The guys at Citibank were freaked; they'd been told by the people "upstairs" (one said) to report any such "terminations." We have plenty of money in these banks, albeit as small depositors. MOVE YOUR MONEY NOW.
Re an action: for those of us who still have ATM cards, what would happen if, nationwide, everyone used their cards at the same time, in every bank ATM machine people could access. E.g.: 12 p.m. EDT next Wednesday. Would we crash the computer systems?
Wrong address, below: use this one to find a credit union

I don't know about incentives, but the cards are free and many of the credit unions have online banking. Try moveyourmoney.com to find one. The system can be affected, but people have to act in unison. They have concentrated wealth; the people have mass.
Can we plan on everyone taking their money out of the banks at once? Why not crash the whole system. Cause them to fix it themselves. Take every penny you have out of your account and then put it back the next day. Lolz to that
Do credit unions give you "miles" and other buy back incentives with their debit and credit cards?
Why should that be important?
Why would I want to move my money without incentives?
With Chase, I get airline miles for my credit cards and other buy back type incentices when I use my debit.
Because the credit unions are less corrupt. Because Chase is cheating the world to get you those airline miles.
Who exactly is Chase cheating? Give me specifics. Give me names.
You need to stop being brainwashed by ridiculous Marxist sound bites.
