That is about 24% of the population.
I did not realize there were that many.
Sun streaking cold
An old man wandering lonely.
Taking time the only way he knows.
Leg hurting bad,
as he bends to pick a dog-end
He goes down to the bog and warms his feet.
Feeling alone
The army's up the road
Salvation a la mode and a cup of tea.
May I ask how this is relevant?
Of course you can.
Ok, then how is this relevant?
Obama changed his stance on the contraception issue yesterday. I thought it was interesting that with enough people you can so influence the president.
Fair enough.
Catholics in particular are not a problem. It's the Religious Right and the Christian Evangelicals that are the problem. They are one of the most powerful forces in politics. Because God is a higher calling. And the Republican's use God perversely for their political advantage. It's how they stay in power despite all of their failed economic policies, and it's how they get away with so many lies. Because the Religious Right are gullible. It's part of their religious indoctrination.
Rick Santorum just said yesterday, addressing a church congregation! that Pres. Obama is overtly hostile to faith and religion. So it must be that Rick Santorum is their only Savior!

But, how Catholic are they?
Are they show up for mass twice a year and have statue of Mary in the front yard Catholic? Or are they forced into it as a child and haven't been to mass since 1977 Catholic?
Oh, are those the 2 options? verrrry insightful, as always, GurlFried
So???
[Removed]
And I'm sure they would not force their beliefs on anyone else
Like the protestants did to them 150 years ago
Like their ancestors did to the Jews in Spain in 1492
Separation of church and state is not only in the first amendment
THE ESTABLISHED LAW OF THE LAND FOR 134 YEARS:
The unanimous 1878 Supreme Court decision - Reynolds v. United States clearly declared that the religious belief and practice of polygamy was not protected by the Constitution, based on the longstanding legal principle that
"laws are made for the government of actions, and while they cannot interfere with mere religious belief and opinions, they may with practices."
This is why most of religion’s “blue” laws have been ruled unconstitutional.
just like a religion's belief in polygamy is illegal
Towns make their own laws about what stores are one on Sundays. TOWNS not the federal govt.
The constitution is the constitution of America. If a town passes a law stating the xyz religion is
the only one allowed in the town - is it unconstitutional? is it legal?
for many years, the supreme court ruling was that capital punishment could not be used. How many states executed how many people whaile that ruling was in effect?
And?????????
OR ????
Odummy carried them last time, won't happen again. He showed too much of what a second term will look like.
whats amazing is that this religion that killed a bunch of people who didnt believe the way they did is still in existance. WOW. Heres one for the catholics they may not have gotten from the Lord, "When any person exercizes any unrighteous dominion over another he receives an "AMEN to his priesthood and / or authority" . I guess since none of the man made churches since then have received any inspiration from above in the past 1000 years, its entirely possible they didnt get the memo. Arrest that Galileo for teaching truth I say!
And they are probably all fucking little kids up the butt. The Catholic Church is nothing but a kid fucking cult. Here is a Catholic priest explaining the church:

So I guess there are a lot of Catholic kid fuckers on this forum? Did you know that your Vatican (Rocky Horror Picture Show) has an Occupy movement? http://www.facebook.com/occupythevatican
