Forum Post: The values of the 1%

On the Statue of Liberty the inscription reads in part:

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

There should be a new inscription at the gates of the institutions that have plundered us:

"Give me your homes, your paychecks, your jobs, You huddled masses yearning to be poor. You, the wretched remnants of a once proud middle class, Send your wealth and earnings to me, As I live and work within my golden door!
