here's a different slant on this whole thing. there's an illustrated book out there called "the toucan feather" that introduces a new symbol for those of us concerned about how we treat each other and the world we share. it's a bit like coelho's "the alchemist" but most readers are saying it's better... here's the link to the synopsis, reviews and sample chapter (go to "gallery>illustrations to see the pics. you won't be sorry you did): http://www.tocamu.com/?page_id=75
but we have a symbol: a fist
i wdn't associate with a symbol that was aggressive, violent, cruel... fear-based. the tocamu symbol is about wholeness, love, empathy... and is more attractive anyway!
have just been to the website... and thanks! you are quite right... err... correct tocamu.com
