These are all top down solutions. Better for 99ers to make personal habit changes multiplied by tens of millions, e.g., reduce eliminate debt and consumerism [stop shopping]; live smaller and smarter, etc.
Not a bad list, not to sure about #6.
6: Why tax more to pay off someone else's student loans? As a tax payer I already loaned them money to go to school, now I should be taxed more to pay that back? Also unsure what you mean by "All financial transactions"
Also, there should be something in there about taking the profits out of shipping jobs to other countries. If a corporation shuts down a factory here to move it to a foreign country it should be required that those workers are paid the same wages and benefits as the American worker that got laid off. Further more, those foreign workers should have to pay American income tax on top of whatever they pay to their own country.
students and young people started ows since their futures are fucked. i'm tossing them a bone. :)
all financial transactions on wall st.
tax outsourcing thereby discouraging it
Occupy Beverly Hills, Bel Air and The Hamptons!! Those "beautiful" people didn't lose any life savings when the economy tanked. Their monies were protected by our investments ...that were lost!!!

Impeach Congress, The Supreme Court, bought and paid for public servants of banks and corporations,High Treason is the charge..Printing 50 trillion dollars backed by no goods or service, bailing out and giving bonuses to the very same people who bankrupted the world economy..Clean House ..its full of rats..Return to the gold standard, forgive the debt,a manufactured number based on fiat currency..Arrest and indict House of Rothschild,Rockefeller, and Bush1,2 and all known accomplices. The charges are High Treason, mass murder, genocide, extortion, money laundering, bribery, market manipulation, intimidation through coorecion...
Seize their assets, estimated 500 trillion dollars of hoarded wealth, distribute to the people of the world, the ones these transnationals stole it from..
I have to admit, you have a point
You can't impeach Congress.
fwankie123, I think you have built a good list of objectives.
I particularly like number two. I think most people can get behind this idea.
I still think we have the cart before the horse.
First, build a list of problems and then build a list of solutions for each problem and then prioritize and build an action plan.
We need to document where we want to go, current problems, proposed solutions and then get agreement to implement the solutions.
We need support from all political factions that the ideas are acceptable to a majority of their members. We need consensus if we are to achieve our goals.
corps again not paying their fair share:

you're right. tax them!
Create another cspan channel that is devoted to elections, giving equal time to all candidates and do not allow political ads on other channels. Do allow ads to pay for the channel, but dont allow ads that are not fact based. Attach a huge penalty for any ad shown to use false or unproven information. The ads have become psychological manipulation through the use of half truths, unproven allegations, smear tactics, negative associations with little or no fact.
WOW!!! It's a fantastic set of demands. I just responded to an idea on this website to have a mass mobilization on Washington, and I think at least some of these ideas could be used to focus the movement. But they're all great demands. THANKS FOR YOUR BRILLIANT POST!
PS Two Congresspeople, including Tom Harken of Iowa, have called for a tax on stock transactions that wouldn't affect the investments in workers' pension plans or of individual investors in the 99%. I'd clarify that demand on the transaction tax to make that distinction.
Also, re point 8, wouldn't you want to add protecting Medicaid, which is being cut all the time and affects the poorest of the 99% (unless I'm missing something in the new healthcare bill, I think states are having to limit Medicaid).
Thanks again!
medicare for all eliminates medicaid
Wow, I didn't understand that, THANKS!!!
Wow. These demands are exactly the kind of BS that comes out of the most extreme elements of the democratic party. When will you clowns learn this is a center-right country? Your demands are foolish, and the results would make Greece seem like an utter success in comparison.
This will work.
richard, you are a smart guy
Eat ass, troll
Your list of demands is very skewed and like the corporations, are very targeted toward a set group of people, i.e eliminating student debt. How about wiping out medical debt? How about eliminating business debt for small businesses who have had to spend money to comply with ridiculous regulations? Definitely the focus needs to be shifted to Washington, but in order to get wide spread support you need to eliminate the progressive agenda, and do only those things that benefit 100% of Americans equally.
are you a complete idiot????
