The solution to ALL these complicated requests lies in what could be a very simple bill for Congress. The bill should state simply that, if any paid employee, in any American business, makes 82% more than anyone else in the company, the employee making the disproportionately high salary -AND- the company itself, has to pay an ADDITIONAL 18% more in taxes.
Some examples:
If highest yearly salary is $100,000, the lowest hourly wage would be $8.65.
If highest yearly salary is $200,000, the lowest hourly wage would be $17.30.
If highest yearly salary is $500,000, the lowest hourly wage would be $43.27.
If highest yearly salary is $1,000,000, the lowest hourly wage would be $86.54.
If highest yearly salary is $10,000,000, the lowest hourly wage would be $865.38.
This would either encourage fair wages, or increase tax revenue. Either way is win-win unless you're a greedy, abusive CEO.
