I think the secret to unifying as one voice is to stop shouting out specific demand ideas and talking about socialism, marxism, and replacing the system and recognize that we already have the frame work of our constitution in place.
We've already successfully identified many of the problems in this country that many have spoke about: Corporate Greed, The lack of influence of the mass on our politics, propaganda, to name a few..
Lets instead point out the practical goals of why this movement was started in the first place: stated here:

Many of us can agree on: A true democracy, with a transparent government that supports the American People. I strongly believe if we can agree on these basic principles- and then focus on talking through solutions we will get more accomplished, be taken more seriously, and we will have many more supporters!
I'm not saying other ideologies don't work, or are bad- but if the goal is to unite America the most effective way to do it is to point out what America is (which we are doing now) and then remind them of what America once was.
Spread the word and repost this please if you agree!
America is not a "True Democracy", it is a Representative Constitutional Republic. You need to understand what you have before you can say what you want.
ows will not make demands. To make demands means to compromise with the powers that be. what #ows may do is ask alot of questions, looking for answers. Remember this wallstreet & the 1%did not and will not compromise, nor will that lousey government sitting on The Hill. Sorry I tried to fix the text. not trying to shout.
This form of government is still the best out there. All we need to do is get our representatives to listen to there constiuents first before corporate money, union money, special interest money, party money and pac money. This can be done easily See all politics is local and we need to reform the way we elect our officials. Elections should only be funded by the people who the representative will represent. if that was the case to get elected and re-lected he would have to listen to his district or state and if he didn't he not only wouldn't get the vote but would not get the money to fund his campaign. These campaigns could have contributions caps on donations within the district that all individuals could vote on. then our vote and our potential contributions would all carry the same wieght. A corporation or union or weathy person could only contribute up to the maxiumum in the district and state that its headquarter is in just as all americans can vote only in their home district and state. This said a retired teacher could vote with he/shes wallet in the same amount that a corporation or union could if that district put a say $2000.00 cap on contributions. This would allow everybody to have an equal free speech agenda including corporations and unions but only once and only for their direct representative. No more or no less than any individual entity according to the supreme court. It remains free speech because your district votes on that fair amount of contribution for everybody in that district for congressional district or state for senators. equal representation. every state and district would be responcible individually so this is also freedom of speech since alabama may limit contributions for elections by there citizens to $1000.00, California to $2000.00 and NY to $2500.00 this is representative government from the ground up to DC then.
