Forum Post: The Real First Official Press Release from OWS

Posted 13 years ago on Oct. 9, 2011, 1:31 p.m. EST by teddyr (159) from Bronx, NY
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

To all OWS protesters. I am Teddy, your new leader. We need to rethink our values and purpose. What I propose is that everyone return to their homes, apologize to everyone in the community for our ridiculous presence. Of course this is after we scrub NYC clean which would leave a greater impression on the world than us just complaining about how we are all broke. Then once we are home we will work hard and do what we have to do to get somewhere in life. Then we all will realize that success is solely dependent on ourselves and not anyone else.

Teddy.

You don't really like the idea of "people," do you?

Eh?

Speaking out against rampant corporate and political corruption and uniting for change IS taking responsibility for ourselves and future generations. After all, isn't said corruption the primary reason why so many people are broke? So you say we're 'solely dependent on ourselves and not anyone else', Teddy? It certainly begins with the individual, but humans are social beings and thus, interdependent. Nevertheless Teddy, please feel free to post your list of the successes that you've achieved entirely on your own.

Yeah, not really interested in a pissing match. I have achieved 100% of everything I am today. No one else did it but me. I have no regret, and I have made good decisions. This protest is nothing about the future. It is all about themselves.

Not interested in a pissing match? "I am Teddy, your new leader.." When you go back to that island of yours, where interdependence doesn't exist, you might want to work on self awareness.

True, success is dependent on ourselves, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management Group of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers yourselves. Consequently, I have posted the Strategic Legal Policies, Organizational Operating Structures, and Tactical Investment Procedures necessary to do this at:
