Forum Post: The Protests Have Made Their Point - Now It's Time to Take Other Action

Your voices have been heard - the protests have made the impact needed to raise awareness of the problems of too much power and wealth being concentrated in the top 1%, and how that had led to our current economic problems. Before public opinion turns against this movement, the protesters need to disperse. More formal action needs to be taken: formal grassroots groups need to be formed, and political action needs to happen. Sympathetic, viable candidates for Congress need to be brought forth and nominated. Follow the example of the Tea Party and how they went from a series of protests into a political movement. They have certainly made an impact, and this movement can make an impact on our politics, too.
