I support this movement very much. However, I hope the movement is in it for the long haul. I hope it enters the political landscape.

My vision for this movement is that it needs to offer an alternative to our current political system. I like that this movement has committees. It has a general assembly. The occupiers sustain themselves with alternative modes of economic activity. This movement has the potential to show a new radical way for the American Left.

Yet, I am not sure how organized this movement really is to be a political force in America. Because what I am proposing is that this movement be the start of a revolutionary process. I am talking about revolution folks. Not in a violent manner of course. But, a very organized campaign to remake our political process first and then our political economy in America. This is going to take commitment, patience, and hardship to get there.

However, I am not sure if people are there yet in the movement, much less in the rest of America. Yet, this movement can do so much more in allying with political groups on the left such as labor unions, environmentalists, socialists, anarchists, cooperatives and progressives. If the American left can be united and have a strong message, then it would really make the movement stronger. If I were to propose something out there, I would strongly encourage organizers to urge the progressive caucus in congress to leave the democratic party, and create a coalition party for the left.

Then the movement can create a grassroots campaign to elect these progressive members to congress, but it would not put out a presidential candidate. Obama would have to seek support from the coalition party, or the coalition party would encourage folks to "blank" vote or protest vote the president section of the ballot. All this would show the strength of the movement, and it paves the way towards a new politics in America.

If a constitutional amendment limiting money in politics is adopted, I will consider OWS a howling success. http://www.wolf-pac.com/28th
