All the polls have the candidates neck and neck, but thanks to the ridiculous Electoral College it's very likely we can have another president without a majority of the vote. Can we handle that as a country or will we just shut down or blow up?

BTW, I forget the exact number, but a candidate only has to win the top 15 or 16 states by one vote to be elected president, even if every other person in the country votes against him. Can we upgrade our system?

Listen, the people are going to get all pumped up about going to the polls, that one hour worth of work every four years. After that, they will go back to doing whatever they are used to doing. I dont know if this is just a problem in our country, or with humanity in general.

Honestly, it would be nice if you could just hire someone once every four years, leave them the hell alone with no oversight, with only his coworkers capable of firing him anyways.

It would be nice if thats all it took. But thats not even close.

My prediction is that we'll blow up. And that is why states generally yield to the popular vote.
