We are occupying for everyone, We are protesting everything, We are demanding survival. Yet the Police Man demands we disband?

Let’s end the Drug War, we say, But the Police Man sees users as a menace to society. Doesn’t he know those policies cause the ghettoization of millions? Doesn’t he know compassionate treatment works better?

Let’s end the prison-industrial complex, we say, But the Police Man believes crime is inevitable. Doesn’t he know the oligarchs profit off imprisonment? Doesn’t he know prevention and rehabilitation ring true?

Let’s tear down the fictitious lines on our maps, we say, But the Police Man wants to build fences and arm drones. Doesn’t he know our differences are our strengths? Doesn’t he know empires have carved up the world for treasure?

Let’s improve our social safety net, we say, But the Police Man regurgitates that we must work harder. Doesn’t he know the plutocracy cares nothing for the worker? Doesn’t he know the wage-slave toils and never truly lives?

Let’s stop the military-industrial complex, we say, But the Police Man defends the fears of a Boogie-Man. Doesn’t he know Eisenhower warned us of war-profiteers? Doesn’t he know Fascism requires perpetual conflict?

Let’s rid ourselves of corrupt banks, we say, But the Police Man points the blame at deregulation and Big Government. Doesn’t he know capitalism is an unsustainable cancer? Doesn’t he know the monied interests serve only themselves?

Let’s uphold education as the ultimate undertaking for humanity, we say, But the Police Man must first stop lying to himself. Doesn’t he know we value Life? Doesn’t he know we value Liberty? Doesn’t the Police Man know We the People value the Pursuit of Happiness?

Oh, the Police Man.
