I am very interested in the concept of a public bank. I think it has flaws but by god, if we are going to have a Federal Reserve it had better be public and not privately owned! WHAT THE F*&K?! I'd personally prefer no central bank because central control scares me, but I am open to the idea if the people feel it is necessary. I'd like to see the details worked out, how it would operate, see good examples of it succeeding or failing if possible in other countries, etc. I think credit unions could be a good example of a starting point. I'm personally not educated on the public bank concept, yet, though I am looking into it.
