Forum Post: The OWS Smear Campaign

What are you guys doing to fight the Smear Campaign? There's one going on to dehumanize the Occupiers so nobody will sympathize with them. All my Facebook friends focus on stories about how Occupiers are pooping wherever they feel like it, not showering, and basically wallowing in filth. Unless this is the TRUTH, which is BAD, it's a smear campaign put in place to turn you OWS into a bunch of grunting hippy heathens who can't take care of themselves. That's not what you want, and it's going to ruin everything you stand for if you don't fix it.

I wish the best for OWS, that's why I'm making this post. If you can't get funding for basic sanitation needs to be taken care of, you need to band together and take care of it. I don't care if you have to dig latrines in the public park and somebody get arrested for it. I don't care if you need to build kettle-drum baths and laundry using donated firewood and privacy screens made out of rope and old curtains. You need to build create communal kitchen style food so nobody is going hungry. You need to prove you have the values of a work force, a community, etc... and that it is Wall Street that has taken the opportunities for you to put those skills to work, or you will be inheriting the brand of lazy no-gooders the media is smearing you with.
