I wonder how much its costing the taxpayers of NYC to pay the cops to babysit you all. Last I heard it was 2mill, wonder if your city can afford to have you keep this up much longer?

But you people dont care, you dont care what its doing to the business owners in the area. Because you all are a bunch of self centered people and dont see what your actions will cause that is bad for that community. And you dont care that nobody can use the park as intended.

Here's a thought maybe Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and all the other billionaires could bail us out and pay the debt, then we can all start over.

[-] 1 points by jasmine (12) 13 years ago

why should they they worked for that money? For anyone to take it from them its stealing.

[-] 1 points by Truthseeker99 (99) 13 years ago

Did they really?

Since the FEDERAL RESERVE has never paid taxes like any other private corporation in the US, isn't it high time to audit it and collect the trillions it owes us.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

Did you vote for Bush? because the majority of that figure belongs to him, therefore you, if you voted him. So did you?

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

Tell the people. Show them the link, let them read it for themselves

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_debt_by_U.S._presidential_terms

Bush inherited a surplus from Clinton and went on to increase the debt by 28 %, 20% of it was in his second term when the raping and pillaging was in high gear. Bush increased the debt more than any President since Roosevelt, who saved the country from the Depression and won WWII. Bush sent us into a Depression and lost two wars. And you voted for him you fucking idiot.

The latest posting by the Treasury Department shows the national debt has now increased $4 trillion on President Obama's watch.

The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion.

It's the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president.

...sighs... They're neck and neck dude, admit it.

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

ah, yes... there it is, thank you for the link, Gluttony. Well, Bush certainly was as bought off by the Big Banks as anyone else has ever been. With that said, to be fair, I would add this:

National debt has increased $4 trillion under Obama

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20095704-503544.html

(CBS News August 22, 2011) "In 31 months of Barack Obama’s presidency, according to the Treasury and CBS News, the US has added $4 trillion to its national debt. That approaches the presidential record set by George W. Bush of $4.9 trillion, but there’s a catch to that. Bush set that record in two terms — in 96 months."

...Both parties are, for the most part, bought off... The closer you look, the more they resemble eachother, when it comes to the Huge issues.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

Bullshit, and you're trying to blame Bush's wars, Bush's recession, and Bush's tax cuts on Obama. Obama inherited the country you and Bush fucked up, and now you want to blame Obama. You lying hypocrite.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

You know Bush is to blame for a much much larger chunk of the debt than Obama, you know that but refuse to admit it because you want to win your smug little game.

Once again, wikipedia is not a reliable source to quote. If you don't understand why well.......never mind.

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

yep. wikipedia is a good place to start. But that's about all. You just have to dig deeper than that, if facts are what you are after. I use it to find references on occasion, but research should always continue from there. Everyone should know by now its unreliable in of itself.

Clinton administration did not properly regulate wall street. enron occurred on his watch, AlQuieda increased its ranks and strength to carry our 9/11 under his watch, and credit requirements to get a mortgage were reduced by the clinton administration to such an extent it caused the mortgage debacle that is still with us today.

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 13 years ago

The supposed surplus didn't exist. It was a projection out 10 years if the govt. stuck with the budget that REPUBLICANS forced Clinton to sign. You need to brush up on your facts.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

Who increased the debt more than any president since Roosevelt?

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 13 years ago

Actually you're wrong. Obama has that distinction.

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

Obama certainly is outpacing the 'Bush' rate of debt, for sure. That much is clear. I have included a link below, a little further down in this thread, that illustrates that point.

...and Bush outpaced everyone before him...

Its a 'Left'-'Right'-TooBigToFail Tag-Team Vs.Sound Monetary Policy

Good to meet you Perspective

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 13 years ago

That I can agree with.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

You don't really believe that, it is a complete fucking lie and you know it, why can't right wingers respond with the truth? Because you'd lose every argument. So you lie, constantly. And your lives are a lie. Your jobs are a joke. You are full of shit liars and bigots.

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

troll (?) ...and with a little t or a big one?

First off, whatever medication you are taking, I suggest either taking less, or more, or discontinuing the prescription all together. (After consulting with your doctor of course)

I have no party affiliation, but thanks. and... why so presumptuous? Is it a 'team' thing with you? Are you just rooting for your favorite team ...inconvenient facts be damned? Its all just Red and Blue team colors, isn't it ...simple smiles... You just want to win. Perhaps you think this is ESPN or something. Who knows.

The majority within both parties obviously support very loose monetary policy. where is the difference between them in that, EndTheGluttony? Why do you insist Red win, or Blue win? They both make up the offense and defense of the same predatory team that continues to suck the coffers of our country dry.

so please, develop a sustainable argument to contribute for debate or go shit all over yourself throughout someone else's thread. (Or watch a game)

Your Rude, and have a lot to learn.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

It's "You're rude." Another fuckface who doesn't know basic grammar. The debt belongs to Bush and you know it.

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

You're entertaining, I'll give you that. lmao

Im not saying Bush Anything. Or Obama anything. The numbers are all I'm focusing on my freind. I don't put any stock into whichever silly color either of these individuals prefer to wear, because it doesn't matter does it. Both are money junkies.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

But you know that a lot of the debt increase under Obama belongs to Bush. Who started the pointless wars? Who destroyed the economy? Who cut taxes for the greedy gluttons? You are full of shit and you know it.

[-] 1 points by EndGluttony (507) 13 years ago

No, you do not undersand, the amount you are blaming Obama for, the 34 month period, a lot of that belongs to Bush. Any money spent on the war, the stimulus, the tax cuts that continue for the rich...ALL BUSH.

I'll send in my check for 28 cents. We should probably start making payments if we are going to clear this debt. Somebody recruit some young attractive interns, rent an office, stock up on Cuban cigars and scotch, get a few computers, some golf clubs, a calculator, adding machine, and then call Bill Clinton!

[-] 1 points by SirPoeticJustice (628) from New York, NY 13 years ago

LOL

[-] 0 points by Perspective (-243) 13 years ago

Attractive was never a prerequisite for Clinton when it came to interns....look at Monica.

[-] 1 points by shizzle08 (119) 13 years ago

Yeah I guess you have a point there.

[-] 1 points by Rico (3027) 13 years ago

Hey Monetizing... I'm just dropping in to cause trouble and shake things up.

As for the National Debt... "In a Democracy, the people get precisely the Government they deserve."

Ditto for Corporations... "In Capitalism, the people get the corporations they support with their purchases."

Similar for Banks... "Banks get rich because people borrow money from them."

See... just causing trouble ;o)

[-] 1 points by MonetizingDiscontent (1257) 13 years ago

=) Absolutely, Rico... agreeed. The people of nations generally experience the exact level of tyranny that they are willing to put up with.

hey, you and I probably have a lot more in common than either of us realize ;) Always enjoy reading your thoughts regardless of whether our opinions on certain issues align or not. You always back yourself with links and I end up learning new things too, even when I remain unfazed in my convictions ..as it should be..

Having the presence of mind to learn from one another when the opportunity arises, is going to be key, going forward. Take care Rico

Good points, harsh but not untrue

[-] 1 points by thebeastchasingitstail (1912) 13 years ago

I read we are so far in debt it will never be paid back.

[-] 1 points by GeorgeMichaelBluth (402) from Arlington, VA 13 years ago

Maybe that will be a problem someday?

[-] 1 points by shizzle08 (119) 13 years ago

you really think so????

[-] 1 points by GeorgeMichaelBluth (402) from Arlington, VA 13 years ago

I think it is a problem, but not enuff do. Otherwise something would be happening. I think they honestly think it can go on forever

[-] 1 points by SirPoeticJustice (628) from New York, NY 13 years ago

You mean starting three years ago???

[-] 0 points by JohnnyO (119) 13 years ago
