This is why I support the OWS. These are the things that we need to discuss. This is why others will do everything within their power to disrupt the conversation.

Yep, they sure are trying aren't they?

I saw the front of the NY Post today. They have only negative spin and innuendo to offer.

Makes you think they're really frightened of what OWS could become.

WE must be having an effect.

Sure. At some point, mainstream media has to realize that they aren't very relevant anymore. Murdoch's NY Post is doing exactly what he told them to do. Murdoch has great reason to be afraid.

It is detracting attention from phone hacking scandals and the Wireless Generation no bid $27million contract with the New York Department of Education-which was later annulled. He is now so involved in for profit education that if the general public catches on to his shpeil he won't be able to get his sticky hands on public funds. Definitely scared :D.

Oh yes, Jeb Bush, Rupert Murdoch & Goldman Sachs: Buying the American education at a rock bottom price & turning it into a for profit enterprise, one school district at a time.

YES.

This has to stop. It has to.

This is actually pretty important; I mean the whole point we're doing this is because 99% of this country is currently quite downwardly mobile while the way up is hard as hell to find. Many of the people who used to live decent working-to-middle class lives are now either dirt poor or sleeping on benches or both, and many of the entry- to mid-level white collar jobs that used to pay very well in comparison with factory jobs now pay about what those jobs used to (only white-collar jobs require a startup investment of $75,000 to $200,000 to make that money).

I made a comment earlier today re: OWS camping in the park.

The medium really is the message. If nothing changes and if the laissez-faire, Ayn Rand, survival-of-the-fittest types get their way, the cities they live in will be filled with "Zucotti Parks". I think they should be careful what they wish for.

To me, social programs and sensible government regulation of commerce has always been about "What kind of country do you want to live in?"

I'm beginning to see that some people don't care what kind of country they live in. They'll just lock themselves in gated communities and let the rest of us "eat cake" or whatever. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Sad that troll ist gets more replies than a legitimate post.
