I am a realist and the Occupiers have stated they will not leave until they see things change. The type of change they want is not only political, but also in ways of social change. How long will it take to change things politically or socially? In order to change, it would probably take several years if ever.
So I believe in a few years the Zucotti Park camp will still exist. Its here to stay. When will it no longer exist? Unless there is some type of mass murder or suicide which takes place there, Im pretty sure it will keep going until they tire out...who knows when they will tire out...
I vote for mass suicide.
November 11?
Yay!
Of course not. Free eats, shelter, drugs and sex.
winter hasn't started yet...
I figure that some or most of the Occupiers do not really reside at the park. Those tents you see are probably empty. If you have gone camping before then you know usually bad hair, beards and a tattered look is the general rule. Many of the occupiers appear clean shaven and their hair in place. So I think the camp will last the winter. The teachers union or some other organization might even be providing a place for some to stay off-site.
What will really be damaging to Occupy is attrition. Eventually, people have to live their own lives. They have to make a living, they might have a family, girlfriends, wives, etc. I think many will fall out more so because of things in their lives rather then the Winter.
