I saw this video of the first music video in space and felt one of the most complex mix of emotions ever. Awe, pride, regret, vast sadness mixed with unbound joy. My emoions were so mixed I didn't realize Iwas crying until the screen blurred. If you have 5 minutes then you need to watch this.

Cosmic...ethereal...

Such hope, such potential. Burgeoning worlds and societies.

You captured the emotions beautifully, 'NVPHIL'. Its all of those things.

There's a sense of sadness too, though...that we're moving on from earth...leaving it behind because its so far gone, its too hard to fix. In a sense...betrayal. We can't let that happen. We must take care of our earth and our earthly brothers and sisters.

More personally...someone recently told me, they'd like to 'fly high above the madness'. I heard those words echo as I viewed this beautiful video.

If you like the first video you will love this. The lyrics are even more powerful. Chris Hadfield and Ed Robertson playing with chorus.

Yeah, ok...ya got me. This one made the tears spill over. But I smiled more in this one too.

We're living in very interesting times, indeed.

What really moved me(besides the song, of course) was reading the comments and finding the same sense of yearning I feel from all over the world. This wonderful person has moved from being a Canadian treasure to a world wide treasure, helping us see the beauty and wonder in space.

living in very interesting times

Part of an old - Chinese curse. A curse said to an enemy - May You Live in interesting times.

We have been cursed by the corp(se)oRATions. Only they did not stop at the saying - they have continued on to carry out the curse.

Yes, DKA...but this time, we are soooo on to them. Never before have the peasants had such access to communications for sharing information.

A Chinese curse, you say. Looks like we'll just have to change the meaning then, won't we?

See - that is just it - good call - I think - as they Do "seem" to be shooting themselves in the feet quite regularly now. And - OH YES - our ( The Peoples ) communications are better then ever before - World Wide. And YES real resistance is forming.

Still it does make for interesting times.

You'll get nowhere when you use conspiracy theory type terms like "they". You need to be specific and identify those who do wrong. Not all corporations do wrong. And, if you think they do, then you shouldn't fight them, you should fight capitalism which permits them to exist in the first place. That's what Occupy was all about in the beginning. They wanted to crash capitalism and replace it with anarcho-communism which sounds good in theory, and could be good in practice, but, unfortunately, has been tested little in practice. I would be for dismantling the US government and trying anarcho-communism. I'm not from US, so I wouldn't mind if it failed miserably as it very well might. It would be a nice test to see. If it works, the whole world could follow suit and a lot of improvements could be seen.

It doesn't make much sense to support capitalism, but then throw stones at all the corporations.

Better to dive into details and show us exactly which corporations are doing evil. Monsanto is one. What they do is documented. This is good.

Just try to use specifics instead of the common "they" which means nothing and is essentially only a simple minded and empty analysis. It's the favorite word of conspiracy theorists since it's just empty of meaning.

Edit: L-Stranger - another ID?

Airing out your arrogance I see = AlwaysWillBeAlwaysRight

What ever you need to feed your ego.

Though actually being right - even once - would be better - IMO.

BTW - Mr.(?) Twister.

You really suck at trying to deliver mind/thought poison.

Do people who are even still asleep fall for that shit?

He should be all right. If someone tried that they probably wouldn't be able to do business in Canada again.
