Forum Post: The infiltration has begun

The group linked below is actively supporting political parties and claims to be representative of OWS They have even posted a document in ther (DOC) section that strongly suggests that OWS is changing their collective direction. The Group is calling themselves Occupy Congress. I would strongly recommend a quick GA regarding this issue and a formal statement from the collective. I strongly believe that supporting either political party or any of their potential candidates is a monumental mistake It will only serve to convolute the message and give ammunition to our detractors.

I hear you. A rotten situation in politics, this movement should if anything else, create it's own party. I would coin the name "The American Party"! It's obvious that America is a country of soooo many different people. Why do we constantly ONLY have 2 types of candidates to choose from? Dem or Repub? I'm not a sports fan, but even I know how bad it would be if only any sports game had only 2 teams playing. Imagine, who's gonna win the superbowl this year? team one or team 2?? every year, the same two teams fighting it out,,,, YAWWWWWWN. Time to start adding more "teams" to the voting roster in every branch of government!!!!

OWS would conduct a GA if they supported a groups efforts to stump for a political party. They have not done this with this group. If this group gets big the news media will have ways to discredit OWS.

If comes out publicly and states that this group does not represent the feelings or agendas of OWS then it will swash any talking points that the FOX lie machine will have drummed up.

Agreed these peoples facebook page even is closed to comments unless you join the group. They are small but have gained 200 people in two days and are spamming all over the place to get more.

They are a political action group that are tricking people to support them They make statements like "OWS is changing directions and we are it"

The best way to distance OWS from these false groups, is to make sure no one official makes comment that supports them. We don't react to them and we don't vouchsafe other than the standard standing of the group... What you started this thread with.

LOL you obviously did not read my post. I pointed out that there is a group pretending to be affiliated With OWS. How on earth do you interpret that as anything other then what it is.

OWS does not support political parties. and they wouldn't appreciate know that this group that claims to be (them) is doing just that.

Wake up! This site is a lightning rod to all the activist agencies in the entire U.S. - quite possibly the entire world! Every skinhead, white supremacist, peace activist and Anarchist has flocked to this site. Some to have a serious debate, some to spread lies, make rumors and false accusations. This has also drawn every asset of Homeland Security and protectionism the US Government has available, to this site. Talking of violence and action ... or just displeasure of the system, has marked you from this day forth. Unless you are Real and have something to add to the movement, get off. This ain't no game. Real life will come knocking someday.

Since OWS has no leaders in the open and all issues are on the table, then this group is a much a representation of OWS as any other group in the protest. This is the problem of trying to be a leaderless movement, anyone can be a part of it and there is no one to deny them that right.

Be very careful!

This is exactly what they did to the Tea Party. The Tea Party actually did start as a grass roots movement and was taken over by the Republican Party.

The real web site is http://teapartypartiots.org.

The GOP create a site and movement http://www.teapartyexpress.org/

The GOP put a lot of money behind the second site and brought in fake Tea Party candidates like Michelle Bachmann. The right wingers came in with their holy roller crap and the movement was ruined. The focus was changed.

Be very careful watch out for political parties, unions, and PACs. They have a lot of money and will try to steer the agenda.

The Tea Party was never a grass roots movement. They are orchestrated by Americans for (the) Prosperity (of the Kochs). Unbeknownst to them, the followers were all drugged on Koch, and they began have hallucinations of being in a Tea Party with Alice in Wonderland.

See this is exactly what I am talking about. You prove my point. Even you believe them.

Actually the Tea Party started via social media with an email circulation, twitters, and FB posts telling people to “send a tea bag to congress” to protest the George W. Bush and the Bailouts. Most were independents and not Reps or Dems.

The Koch brothers came in later as part of the Tea Party Express. They even made a site tepartypartiots.com that competed with the .org site. At least whoever registered the ows site was smart enough to grab .com as well as .org

All I am pointing out is the need to be very careful. Ther are people out there, no matter their affiliation who are powerful and will hijack the cause as soon as you slip up. They pretend to be with you, build up confidence and then make their move.

Is that the GA from the elitist side of the park that meets in the lobby of the Deutche Bank building away from all of the miscreant protesters? I fail to see how one GA in New York has all the power to make decisions for the other movement, unless they are the ones heading up the movement and in touch with the Serbian Revolutionaries who are directing the show.

Indeed.
