I think it's important for us to realize that we have become a multinational culture. With the world and it's information now at our fingertips, how can be be constrained by the same linear kinds of ideals as the generations before us?

Agreed. The web is the most powerful weapon in our arsenal for promoting human rights, squashing injustice and tyranny and possibly maybe finally promoting world harmony.

We won't be, but there is nothing truly new under the sun. Besides, if a model works, why throw the baby out with the bath water? We can always weave in a few new ideals to make it more modern.

A more advanced society call for more advanced concepts in the ways that we govern ourselves and in the ways that we conduct business with the world around us.
