Ok, I think I see the trend in the last weeks, the right-wing hate-radio/tv machine, along with the even more interesting internet echo-space of conspiracy mumbo-voodoo has begun an assault on reason and logic of epic proportions. (thanks NRA!)
Search youtube for; "connecticut shooting faked" if you don't know what I am on about.
The idea that this massacre of these school children and teachers was a made up story is amazing to me,. you can use the six-degrees of Kevin Bacon technique and find an actual person that knew one of those killed,. it ain't that difficult.
Does not basic logic dictate that it would be much simpler and efficient to just wind up an unbalanced individual and hand him a gun,. than to invent the whole thing using actors and such? I mean really, the gun-lobby/constitutionalist theory, seems to be that the "New World Order" wants the elimination of your guns, so they manufactured this school shooting, and the batman one before it,. etc. to "justify" the confiscation of assault weapons. So they can rule without a threat from the people., Right? Am I hearing your insane ramblings correctly?
Well let me set you straight. They don't need you to be unarmed to rule you, you are already ruled and controlled fine,. just using the banking system, no need to take your little pea-shooters. The Fed has robot-drones with laser-guided min-nukes, you really think they are concerned that you got an AK? The idea that this is some ploy to get you unarmed is silly. They don't care if you have guns,. they have fighter jets and black assault-choppers with the paid mercenaries to run a pogram! When you cry for gun-rights you are working for the arms pushers, and the 1% that want's to keep you frightened and alone. Hold up in a bunker you are no threat to the banksters taking your living, your food, and your water, your right to plant a seed from a plant that you grew last year, your right to generate your own energy, to build a community of people not living in fear of this full-on bull-sht!
Stop listening to hate-radio on the AM dial,. stop listening to hate-full propaganda on youtube,. start fixing your community and living conditions.
Degrowth, Relocalize, Permaculture, Slow Money,. etc.
A bright green future is possible, peace and stability, just stop supporting hate, and the 1% that push it endlessly.

Amen. The real enemies Americans face are the banksters and a sick economic system structured to benefit only the wealthy and corporations. All the guns in the world will never stop the economic oppression they have us all in. We need much different weapons if we are going to end the greed and exploitation.
yes, the only weapons we need are a clear understanding of this reality; that money is debt, and there is a large vig being taken by the 1% on ALL money in their pyramid-scam system!
The answer is; Degrowth, Relocalize, Permaculture, Slow Money,. etc.
Building a human scale systems, that are not greed based, that are egalitarian and democratic, that support life instead of endless pointless and destructive fear and hate. This is all the 1% is offering you, why bite? Why not embrace love and peace and communities of people working for the common good. The choice is rather simple, me thinks.
The idea that an economic system can be humane and loving is so new to people that we have to continue to talk about it and the means with which to bring it about. We do have alternatives and most people just don't realize this. Thanks for all you do here, jph.
Yes, "Degrowth, Relocalize, Permaculture, Slow Money,. etc." are what we need.
They will not be permitted by the one percent who own everything or hold the mortgages and debt. They have the power. Until that power is broken nothing will change, because they won't allow it to change.
Their power is their money and property. The way to break it is by confiscatory taxation. No amendment of the constitution is required. Only the courage to see and act on the truth is needed to say and do what must be done in defense of the life of the human race.
This things (Degrowth, Relocalize, Permaculture, Slow Money, movements) all exist now,. that is half my point! There is nothing to DO except embrace these systems, and help speed them along, spreading the memes to more and more people. Many of us already own our own homes and land,. and are working to expand out local resilience and build on the organic food and sustainable energy systems around us. Why fight against, when you can simply work the change you want yourself? We don't need permission, or the support of the system, often it would help, but truthfully it is not needed. The more people that live of life instead of wealth the more people working to build up biological capital instead of stock market bull-sht the less the 1% well be able to take from us,. and the less power they will have.
It's not about permission. It's about the power to convince.
Lead a good life. But we need a lot more than a good example. The 60s counter culture and the Mennonites and Amish before them have led a clean sustainable life. They were ignored because the media and politicians are owned by the plutocrats.
No, we don't need their permission. We need to deal with them. Not by negotiation but by elimination of their power. We need to take what they have until they no longer have enough to endanger our existence.
They want it all for themselves, even if it kills us. I say: "do unto others, before they do onto you!"
I think you're right on target and it's hard for people to believe because it relates to love, kindness and sharing plus it's kind of simple -- People are looking for a big complicated solution because the system is so damn big an complicated. But we don't have to solve all the 1%'s problems with their system. We fell into that trap and we have to get out of it.
Bob Marley put it this way: "No more trying to find the answers to all the questions try ask. We all know it's impossible to go livin in the past. "
Yes, I really do think it all comes down to that one simple personal choice; to live in FEAR or to embrace LOVE!
From this simple personal approach to life, all else will rise,. or sink!
Right on. Right on. That's it. That's the wisdom we all need to discover. We can help each other discover it. We may have to help members of the 1% discover it too. . . In fact, we'd all be a lot better off pretty quickly if the 1% hoarders realized this.

No, They are not forgotten here, the corporate media is largely pointless noise, or worse, dangerous lies and propaganda, designed specifically to keep you scared and anti-social. They push all hte fear based stories in the news to frighten,. but these stories are a tinny part of reality,. the vast majority of people are quite sane and interesting,. get to know them! Don't let them scare you from participating in YOUR community,. expand your self by interacting with more people every day.

The media really is the one that keeps it all together. A few people understand whats going on, but just look at this Hagel nomination. IF Boehner suggested this in response to Susan Rice, Dems would be going nuts. But the media puts out a few tidbits about Republicans not liking his Israel stance (when the US promised a veto on Palestine statehood this past year and killed the whole thing), and he "changed his mind" on one of the worst moves the nation has ever made (Iraq) and all of sudden the tide of opinion is changing.
Media is all powerful.
Media is the gatekeeper.
Its like a rumor mill. Put out a few things, and then by the time it cycles to the public, as some posters here are repeating "Republicans HATE Hagel"...haha...so predictable.
Screw this two party media bullshit.
Here in Tampa we have a kid thats dead because of a drug deal gone wrong. Think anyone is going to really push this, or push maybe "Why the fuck are the drugs still illegal?"
