So I get this email from The Good and check it out finding that IBM one of the world's well known and largest blue chip companies is a sponsor so I click the section in the email that piques my interest most that says 'Good + IBM' with a green globe logo and what looks like famous TV Network logo, a blue eye surrounded by purple. As a 99er and 99% er I thought, 'Great, now maybe there are some companies FINALLY recognizing the importance of hiring people even at the lowest levels at a living wage right here in the good 'ol USA but nope, the first article that catches my eye is at the link above and it's not for jobs in our back yard by any stretch.
The company makes logo wear for colleges all over the USA and while I think it's great they've taken a step to be a better corporate citizen by making a positive difference for our fellow humans outside the USA by refusing to operate a sweatshop we need manufacturing and jobs at home!
I checked out the rest of the site and overall, it looks like bigger business is finally getting the message but we need more of it here not to mention on the job retraining for the millions who are now career displaced, trainable who have 'rusting skills' with great work ethic who need and want to work.
What do you think?
