Forum Post: The fact is....

There is no way to take capitalism or socialism out of the equation now. We are capitalists and we are socialists..period. At one time we were also democratic..and the three combined make for a pretty level playing field and a chance for anyone to live a good life in America.

However since we have really lost our democracy to the power of the capitalist...we are become a fascist society. And when it all comes crashing down....we will be left as a 3rd world bartering economy suffering under totalitarianism.

It is important to help capitalism survive with rules and regulations that ensure honesty, integrity, and ethics in all things. It is also important to help socialism survive. There is no reason at all with the resources of this country that we cannot provide for our brothers and sisters in need...or to offer them universal health care as well as a top notch advanced education. As far as social programs go...Social Security works well. There would be no threat to it 30 years down the road if government keeps it's mitts out of the trust and pays back what they borrowed from it to finance wars and pet projects. We must preserve the 3 principles of Democracy, Socialism and Capitalism or be reduced to a crumbling bartering economy. Fitting of Darwin's' theory but not great for a civilized society.
