Check out some of these bogus laws meant to thwart any attempt at creating something new and different..
"The second point challenges the law requiring newly-qualifying parties to submit an affidavit that they do not advocate the overthrow of the government by force or violence. The affidavit also must say that the parties are not affiliated with any other organization that advocates the overthrow of the government by force or violence. In 1974 the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously invalidated an Indiana law that also required newly-qualifying parties to submit such an affidavit."
In Virginia, someone must have 10% to get into gov debates... kind of hard to generate interest when you CANT GET IN THE DEBATES
Check out this disaster in Chicago..
"The brief explains the reality of petitioning in Chicago citywide offices. The powerful Democratic Party machine has its favorite candidates, even though Chicago city elections are non-partisan. The party organization collects hundreds of thousands of signatures for its chosen candidates, shrinking the poll of voters who still haven’t signed for anyone. The brief also argues that 12,500 signatures are not needed, given that candidates for statewide office in a major party primary in Illinois only need 5,000 signatures."
Keep thinking this system is working for the people and not the two power players...
Don't expect anything to change economically until the power center is addressed.
