Forum Post: The Duopoly Deniers and their Support for the Lesser of two Evils Paradigm.

Posted 10 years ago on Jan. 8, 2014, 7:01 p.m. EST by NotRockefellerTheOtherFella (38)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Our two party Democrat/Republican system, at best, offers the people the lesser of two evils. How can a society progress if it is boxed in with only two choices. Bad and Worse. It is two sides of the same coin and that coin is owned by the 1% establishment. Giving the 99% only two options is the perfect method for the 1% to control society. Why be satisfied with a two sided coin, when we could have a six sided dice? Instead of only two options, why not many more?

Our Bad and Worse Duopoly offers us poor choices on Healthcare.

R: Employer based, Costly, insurance controlled Healthcare.

D: Govt forced, Corporate based, Costly Insurance company Healthcare.

We need New competitive Political parties that can compete and beat the duopoly establishment. Offering us more and better choices.

  • Govt provided, non-corporate, non-insurance based Healthcare.
  • Cost controls of the Healthcare industry. No more $100 aspirin or $8000 CT scans.
  • Reduce corporate patents terms for pharmaceuticals.
  • Adopt superior foreign Healthcare systems.
  • Bulk purchase, cost reduction of pharmaceuticals.
    • many more new and better choices.

Our Bad and Worse Duopoly options for the unemployed.

R: Cut off unemployment benefits.

D: Extend unemployment benefits, but not solve the underlying problems.

New Political, non-Duopoly choices.

  • Govt assistance for Coop businesses start-ups comprised of unemployed workers.
  • Govt grants for unemployed individuals for Start-up businesses.
  • Free higher education and vocational training for the unemployed.
  • End corporate friendly Free trade policies that is causing unemployment.
    • many more new and better choices.

Our Bad and Worse Duopoly Choices for Entitlements.

R: Cut Entitlements a lot.

D: Cut Entitlements a little.

Possible choices from new competitive Political Parties.

  • Honor Entitlements and institute long term viability solutions.
  • Counter deficits caused by wasteful entities and policies such as the MIC, Federal Reserve, Corporate cronyism, hegemony policies, Free trade policies, Money in politics, Wall st, Bankers, etc, etc.
  • Enact standards of political accountablility, having legal consequences.
  • Incarcerate past political leaders who ignored their fiduciary responsibilities for entitlements and deficits.
  • etc, etc.

We could go on forever..............

Why should The People be satisfied with Bad And Worse choices. Our present Duopoly of the lesser of two evils will continue to fail us. It's absurd to believe politicians who whore and pander the wealthy for money, can have the morality to fight tooth and nail over Wedge issues. It's all a shame. Good cop/Bad cop, WWF pro wrestling role playing.

True Occupy supporters should be fighting for More AND Better choices, not for the lesser of two evils.

FactsRFun types didn't want a 3rd party in the debate. Republicans and Democrats hate competition, so much that they deleted the entire comment section because they can't handle what is coming.

The people want something new, no matter how hard these old goats cling to the biggest lie they were ever told.

That link to the Florida debate is Hillaryious.

To have such a huge, diverse state like Florida given only two choices is laughable. CNN has on it's debate promo, photos of two corrupt proven failures.

Here's your choices Florida:

  • Pick crappy, corrupt candidate number 1,

OR

  • Pick even crappier, more corrupt candidate number 2.

Thanks CNN. You've gotta love the Duopoly, and their corporate owned MSM lockstep Cheerleaders.

Fifty years of denial is more than enough.Since 11/23/63,the American People have been allowed to vote for only one way of life:Militarism.Voting for Republicans leads to militaristic domestic and foreign policy.Voting for Democrats also invariably leads also to militaristic foreign and domestic policy. For any leaders elected in America who try to disrupt the Matrix of Militarism, blackmail or bullets will bring them around. We cannot vote for any form of militarism. That is why we must continue with Occupy Wall Street. We have the ability to win the Hearts & Minds of the American People, and that is what we shall do.

Yes we need more choices. New political parties. At least a 3rd, better a 4th or 5th political party that is competitive and can win elections.

Or the best would be to ban all political parties. They only misdirect representative loyalty from the people to the party. Public financing of federal and major state elections and banning political parties would get us closer to a true representative govt.

WWF?

What's the World Wildlife Federation have to do with that?

Are you nostalgic for Jesse Ventura's 'rastlin' days?

That's been the WWE for quite a while now.

At any rate, there is NO duopoly.

To prove it, please fit this stuff into your imaginary paradigm.

http://www.alternet.org/news-amp-politics/multi-millionaire-steve-forbes-has-cynical-plan-keep-working-people-down

Who is he asking to do this?

"Splain this guy.

http://www.salon.com/2014/01/07/amateur_paleontologist_newt_gingrich_life_was_fine_during_the_warmer_age_of_the_dinosaurs/?source=newsletter

WTF.......if you know what I mean.

Isn't he also the guy that wants poor kids to sweep the floor for the rich kids, just so they can "earn" their lunch?

Yep......that was him. Now others in his ideology want that too.

Then there's the obstruction and just plain assholian lack of concern for Americans.

http://www.politicususa.com/2014/01/07/speaker-boehner-admits-lift-finger-unemployed-americans.html

How's that fit?

Oh.............Look up the myriad threads on recent events in Michigan and Detroit in particular.

There's lots more where those came from, so if you can't wrap your head around reality yet, let me know and I'll fix you up with all it takes to get you there.

Sorry, but your imaginary paradigm falls as flat as a cheap pancake.

All you really have to do is look at the states to see how and where.

As go the States, so goes the Nation.

"There is no duopoly." ?! What planet have you been living on?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

Planet Earth.

You apparently live on Prisonplanet.com

The duopoly is as real as bigfoot, and just as unproven.

Here's two more from today.

From Reagan's "trickle down" economics team.

And another from a current Congressman.

"There is no duopoly". No, what do you call it?

Duopoly Definition: An economic or political condition in which power is concentrated in two persons or groups. [duo- + (mono)poly.] duopoly (djʊˈɒpəlɪ). n, pl -lies.

If it looks like a duopoly, walks like a duopoly, and quacks like a duopoly.

It's a duopoly.

[-] 5 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

The opportunity to prove it's veracity, has been offered many, many times.

Indeed, your response completely evades that opportunity, for a vague definition.

Please apply it to my above post.

Or as an alternative, apply it Worldwide.

[-] -1 points by NotRockefellerTheOtherFella (38) 10 years ago

How much veracity do you need? Almost every major political office is held by the duopoly! Do you believe the earth is flat too? It is so foolish to say there is no duopoly.

[-] 4 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

I need this much.......

How could you possibly extrapolate that I support any establishment? I make it crystal clear that I am against all political establishments and yet you somehow pin a "repelican oligarchy" moniker on me. WTF kind of backwoods, hillbilly weed, are you smoking up in punk ass Vermont?

P.S. drop the "repelican" phrase. It is just not as cool as you think it is. It's really, really, really, crash and burn, STUPID!!!
What is it anyway? A bird? Pelican? Is it Repelling? Again, it's stupid, and falls way short. Nobody knows WTF you're talking about. It makes you look Vermont, hillbilly stupid, so drop it. Get with the program dawg and replace it with "RepubliCon". Everyone knows RepubliCon kicks ass over your repelican crap.

the two choices paradigm

[-] 1 points by TheWall (12) 10 years ago

I think the Duopoly is a great method to control the population and public discourse. It definitely puts a glass ceiling on social progress. It allows the few to script the social narrative for the many. Also it provides the perfect situation for the Hegelian Dialectic to be optimized.

[-] 2 points by NotRockefellerTheOtherFella (38) 10 years ago

I agree with you completely. It all about the few controlling the narrrative over the many. The MSM is commited to the narrative being about the duopoly. Hence bad and worse choices are the only ones the 99% are given. And the 99% fight and debate each other over the lesser of two evils.

The ability of the few to control discourse over the many can be seen everywhere. Just look at this forum.

[-] 3 points by AdiosMoFo (0) 10 years ago

There is no duopoly duh.

Why would you suggest there are two companies (DNC & RNC) that runs things? jk...

Another juicy election right around the corner...CANT WAIT!

Garbage like this is why Occupy came about to begin with:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/04/obama-act-public-funding-signs-aw

So while the fascist loyalists on each side cling to a believe they weren't lied to their entire lives - which honestly must be a bit terrifying- the growing reality of people who are informed will continue to grow.
