"Personal/Executive Assistant
compensation: hourly position pay scale from 12/hr to 16.5/hr commensurate with ability and experience employment type: part-time An experienced PA, you will ensure that the Owner has excellent administrative support, enabling her to focus on business development and high-level management issues. You will be an excellent organizer and communicator with a proactive and friendly attitude. I was reluctant but I had to post this because frankly I find this ad over the top. We were doing ok at the start...then hmm gets a little disappointing (will we ever see down time again with so much ot and duties for such a small sum) Then it just gets downright insane. Red ink. Your facebook. A personality exam. This person wants a bitch slave. So my friends...am I wrong? Am I crazy? Is this as ridiculous as I think it is? This office is located in two towns with million dollar homes where the um 12 an hour indentured bitch slave won't be able to live 20 minutes from.
And my first question is has (alleged narcissist) who wrote this ad passed her own personality assessment? Are you just jumping to join a red flag toxic situation? (Where I deeply suspect You Will be expected to clean toilet and also stand in for the nanny and possibly gardener or fetch whatever comes up including cleaning up the dog doo at whatever time of day or night including your day off). Sound enticing? If so this is the job for you.
And then upon more research...just putrid. The part about life insurance residuals and the part about WalMart model. Gag. And this allegedly dumb and allegedly fat alleged turd who owns the franchise..."literally"
The world feels colder to me now. I wish I hadn't seen it.

Anyway...this just feeds into and epitomizes my whole gripe about developer, landlord, overpriced housing insanity where the people who don't do much get paid the most because...they got there first.
Young people stop looking for tiny houses and escape hatches. Demand rent control. Demand commercial taxes on landlords. Demand lower bank interest rates. Demand owner occupied and individual ownership. Demand affordable single family homes. Demand limits on landlord ownership. And please no matter how desperate...don't work for people brazen enough to put out an ad like this in an industry and assholes who profit off of: GOT HERE FIRST !!.
Demand an end to middlemen- brokers! Demand an end to middlemen housing- landlords!
