The root of all the problems that OWS supporters are protesting about is based in CAMPAIGN REFORM. Individuals (not corporations, not PACs) should only be allowed to contribute and that contribution should be max'ed at 1% of the average median income in the US (~$5000). Politicians should no longer be bought by business!!! This national movement should be organizing a constitutional amendment vote by the states - bypassing congress - to enact this reform.

Hey, after we get campaign reform can we get rid of the electoral college??? I hate that the people of my state can grab the majority vote democrat but our electoral/corporate representative can vote against us!

This needs to be the only argument there is for OWS until its settled. The general assembly needs to hold day long debates on the Staten Island Ferry which is free and has bathrooms. We can use the terminal and the boat. Battery Park is better to sleep in than Zucotti Park.

The bribes are the heart of the problem. The solution is to win the 2012 election with a 3rd party that will end the bribes.

3rd party candidate may be harder than an amendment approach...

Mike until this entire movement can grasp the fact that the entire Congress is running around after bribes to screw all the rest of us, we will destroy ourselves. They claim they hate raising bribes. They make the laws. If they hated raising bribes they would write a law today for public finance.

If you refuse to deal with reality and continue to be in their fantasy trance of lies, we're dead.

When you need 7 points to win the game with 20 seconds left, you don't kick a field goal from the 20 yard line. Don't wimp out now, please.

100% publicly funded. Only way!

The only reform is public financed campaigns and time for speeches on C-span. Not $1 should be handed to any candidate and no ads by any group for any candidate. Ads are just bribes.

Take your cash out of your pocket and listen to it speak. Money = speech is the most stupid comment ever made. Stupidity got us in the disaster we're in now. Arrogance prevents people from recognizing they are stooges.

C-Span or limited personal contributions - either way, take the large money contributions away from business

No. Leave no way for any bribe. Only complete public finance will do that. That means we all contributed to the entire campaign to hear what each candidate promises. Haven't you learned yet?
