Just watched video of NYC police beating on protesters. I am very thankful to live in a state where there are no restrictions on carrying a firearm over the age of 16. That BS would never fly up here.
You're right, it was a hillbilly statement, and it was wrong - needed to vent. But there is a level of mutual respect when almost everyone has firearms in their home. We don't have a lot of break-ins, and we don't have a lot of shootings. My thought was, if the authorities keep responding to peaceful protest with rubber bullets and teargas, it won't be long before it all hits the fan.
What a hillbilly statement...
so you're suggesting carrying a firearm to discharge at uniformed police officers working overtime, carrying out orders to maintain a level of lawfulness, being paid overtime by hardworking taxpayer's dollars, and being assaulted (even a touch, throwing a rock or moving forward when warned to stop is assault) by a mass of angry protestors? And in how many states/cities/towns would THAT fly?

which video is this? was it really a beating or just a video of a mob of people where someone was on the ground and people claimed the police beat him after he tripped and hit his head?
na, you can see a cop kick the dude.
still waiting for the video
