I support that OWS should think about petitioning for an amendment change for term limits on Congressional seats. Our members of Congress over the years have turned into independent, multi-million dollar corporations unto themselves and for years not working together has allowed our government to falter on societal and fiscal issues. As Americans we need fresh, independent thinking people to run our government!

I have wrestled with this thought for a long time but I think it could be the beginning of trying to deal with election campaign reform. No guarantees but I would like to see more energetic and collaborative thinking in Congress. We're so polarized that we can't even have intelligent conversation. Each side in DC thinks the other can't add 2+2 and so therefore, they cannot look even at the facts because of ideals being different. Currently, each side thinks the other side is "entirely wrong" and that is part of the problem.

This has happened many times over the decades. It's unfortunate and maybe nature of the beast?

I also believe that big contributors to congress members come from Wall Street and as long as Congress is polarized it is inept to deal with the corruption of things that go on in the financial sector. That is why I created this thread.

History repeats itsself. Hope the cycle can finally be broken. I doubt I will live long enough to see it, though
