I am now hearing from the organizers that everybody should bring a tent. Let's do it.

CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE AND NON-COMPLIANCE Bring everything

That's it yes yes yes

you can use cement instead of ice for an igloo, just make sure you know how to actually build one

Better option is bring tarps. And be prepared to rough-camp. And this time of year means rain gear and warm clothes (heavy stuff to pack around.) The Arab Spring had no such concerns.

I believe the risk of personal property destruction is high, too high for me bring good camping gear, but neither do I believe there's enough organization in this event to be able to survive without sufficient gear - so I'm really conflicted.

Do I bring protective gear to fend off the cops, do I bring camp gear to get through the days, or bring both and limit my mobility and increase my vulnerability?

This is a non-violent event - protective gear is not necessary. Focus on bringing food to last through the fall.

There are no organizers, so I'm pretty sure you're a troll or a cop.

If we can't have tents can we build igloos?

not cold enough out. idiot!

Look guys, if we want this to stay non-violent and not provoke police action we shouldn't bring tents.

Just so everyone knows. A tent is NOT legal. A sleeping bag IS legal though.

what if i dont pitch the tent but leave it flat and lay under it? In Kazakstan when we did that the cops were totally hamstrung.

did that really work?

Who are "the organizers"? For all I know you could be on the other side trying to fuck this up.

Stop looking for excuses. If you believe in the mission then attend. If not stay home.

we are who we are. nuf said.

Enough said for whom? That was the dumbest shit Ive read in here all day. (and ive read some stupid shit here today)

We are only revealing ourselves to certain individuals given the infiltration taking place. The site has obviously been taken over by a vast right wing conspiracy.

Quiet, fool! You'll blow my cover!

[-] 0 points by anonymous () 13 years ago

Wait you are afraid of a sticky tent? What do you expect to be doing in there?

[-] 0 points by anonymous () 13 years ago

that subject is covered here :)

[-] 0 points by anonymous () 13 years ago

the court ruling says otherwise. i wont be bringing one on the simple fact of less reason for charges to stick if any
