Dear aahpat:
This is direct (and angry) response to your publicly-promoted post that the grassroots organization that arose in 2007 is a violent organization. You are correct that the Tea Partiers commit speech and carry posters, but freedom of speech is NOT violence (see Brandenberg v. New York State) (and numerous other 60s-era cases). Speech is nothing more than flapping your mouth and nobody is physically-harmed by people flapping their mouths. ;-)
Attacking a person, or smashing windows, is what crosses the line to actual violence. It is destructive and leaves behind a mess to be cleaned-up. SO PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THESE VIDEOS OF VIOLENCE PERFORMED BY THE TEA PARTY..... ooops I misspoke. There are NO videos of tea party violence because it never happened. Maybe once or twice over the course of 4 years, but that's about it. THESE ARE VIDEOS OF THE "non-violent" OCCUPY PROTESTS AFTER ONLY TWO MONTHS EXISTENCE.

Well shucks. Those inconvenient truths (and people with videocameras) are darned annoying. YOUR TURN AAHPAT. Please show me similar videos of Tea Party violence where buildings were destroyed/damaged and people assaulted. I don't think you'll find more than 1 or 2 incidents. Not the hundreds as occurred in Athens, London, Seattle, L.A. and other locations these last two months.

I will defend his Natural right of free speech to my death, but if you think I will just sit by and watch myself and my neighbors in the tea party be slandered as "violent killers"..... absolutely not. I've never killed any mammal or human & have zero desire to do so. I hope this post DESTROYS aahpat's false claim.

Ahphat is a big fan of Saul Alinsky. It makes her feel superior to think she can manipulate her fellow lefties (the really stupid ones) into believing something that is patently untrue.

That explains a lot. Miss aahpat claims to be anti-violent, but isn't really. Alinsky was one of the most violent protesters of his time.
Let's see, the Tea Party wants to get rid of Social Security=economic Terrorism. the Tea Party wants to get rid of the Department of Education and the Department of Agriculture the Tea Party supports fracking. The Tea Party contains uber religious "family values" folks.
There is nothing nice about the Tea Party.
Social Security should only be provided to those who are poor (like welfare and food stamps). Everyone else can take care of themselves out of their own savings.
That is an OPINION and I am entitled to hold it. Only in countries like Iran are people labeled "terrorists" for having an opnion, and then thrown in jail. Are you trying to turn the USA into a place like Iran where people are AFRAID to speak their minds for fear of being labeled "terrorist" and thrown into a prison? Horrible.
And you're wrong about the Dept of Education. The Tea Party fully-and-completely supports having a Dept. of Education at the State level where it belongs (so it is closer and more-accountable to the children it is meant to serve).

The Tea Party wants to privatize Social Security (theft of public funds) and economic terrorism. Intentionally creating economic instability is...........what? Yep. Thought so. Destruction of the Department of education to privatize education (faux privatization/theft of public funds) is not "for the children" it is about making sure that those that would be protected under the Disabilities Education Act aren't anymore among other great things like equality. It's a bunch of shit.
Going around and labeling people as "terrorists" just because you dislike their opinion makes you NO better than the persons who labeled the jews as "rats". Yes that's right. If you're going to compare the Teaparty to the Asshole Terrorists that KILLED people on 9/11, then I am going to compare YOU to the nazis.

That's why we need to start teaching people critical thinking skills, and requiring that they understand the difference between what makes something an opinion and what makes something a fact.
