I've said it before, and I'll say it again: One of the main pillars of Conservative propaganda is that both parties are the same. Nothing they say is further from the truth. It is an insidious lie intended to demoralize progressives, and discourage them from voting. Do not fall for this canard, because if both parties are the same, there is no hope for change, and therefore no reason to vote. The truth is that there is a difference between the parties. A stark difference! One party works for the rich, the other party works for all Americans. One party takes money from the needy to feed the greedy, and the other party takes money from the greedy to feed the needy. One party has plans and policies to create jobs, and the other party has a long list of lame excuses for not doing anything. Liberals want to change things. Conservatives want things to stay the same. There is a difference. One party wants to tax the rich, and the other party wants to tax the poor. One party wants to destroy Unions, and the other party wants to support them. One party supports the Occupation of Wall Street, and the other party doesn’t. One party wants to rebuild America, and the other party doesn’t. One party wants to provide health care for all, and the other party doesn’t. One party wants to regulate Wall Street, and the other party doesn’t. One Party wants to end the wars; the other party wants them to go on forever. There is a difference. One party is Myopic, and the other party is Far Sighted. One party wants to help the Middle Class, and the other party is at war with the Middle Class. One party wants to fire Teachers, and the other party wants to hire them. One party wants to create more jobs in America, and the other party wants to create more jobs in Asia. There is a difference. One party wants to protect pensions, and the other party wants to loot them. One party has a heart, and the other party has Ann Coulter. One party protects the right bear Arms, and the other party protects the right of freedom of assembly. One party believes that the only role for the Government is to provide for the common defense, and the other party believes that the Government should also promote the general Welfare. There is a difference, and anybody that tells you there is no difference between the parties is simply not conversant with reality. In addition, anyone that blames the Democrats for the current state of affairs has no understanding of who controls the Government. One Party has the Presidency, and the other party has the Majority in the House, controls the Senate, has a majority on the Supreme Court, and is responsible for current economic policy. So, if you’re angry, and you want to start a real fight, I submit that we should start a real fight with the Conservatives! America has a Two Party System. One party is clearly on your side, the other party thinks you’re and Anti-American mob. At some point in time you’re going to have to pick one. Choose wisely, your future is at stake
The Occupy Wall St. movement should be in DC and primarily geared toward the Republican Congress, the people truly responsible for the destruction of America. Here is a history of economic disasters, intentionally and repeatedly caused by republican politicians who protect Wall St Execs and Corporate criminals.
1 - Recession of 2008 George W. Bush (R) Greatest downturn since 1929, blamed on lack of regulation of financial markets and collapse of credit markets.
2 - Recession of 2001 George W. Bush (R) Began in April of 2001, marked the beginning of greatest deficit spending in all of recorded human history.
3 - Recession of 1990-1991 George H.W. Bush (R) Deregulation of Savings and Loan industry.
4 - Recession of 1981-1982 Ronald Reagan (R) Massive deficit spending/deregulation of markets.
5 - Recession of 1973-1975 Richard M Nixon (R) OPEC's increase in oil prices and massive spending in the escalation of war in Vietnam led to stagflation, the second economic crash of Nixon's administration.
6 - Recession of 1969-1970 Richard M. Nixon (R) Credited to Nixon's escalation of and massive spending.
7 - Recession of 1960 -1961 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R) Noted for high unemployment, low GDP, high inflation. JFK ended the recession by stimulating the economy 10 days after taking office.
8 - Recession of 1957-1958 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R) Eisenhower achieved the dubious distinction of achieving a second economic downturn on his watch, a record later matched by Richard M. Nixon, and George W. Bush.
9 - Recession of 1953 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R) Increased outlays to National defense and restrictive credit policies blamed for this downturn.
10 - The Great Depression of 1929 Herbert Hoover (R) Lasted for 10 years- Blamed on Hoover's economic policy and lack of regulation of financial markets.

OCCUPY REPUBLICAN CONGRESS IN DC NOW....
I am fully behind this Im going
Corporations have taken over the American government aided and abetted by Democrats and Republicans alike. Congress no longer does the people's business - it only does the business of big business and the wealthy owners and CEO's. Their decades long effort to seize control, to install an ironclad, money-fueled system that profits them at the expense and suffering of the American people is complete. The issue is, in the wake of the Great Recession of 2008, the citizenry is justifyably upset at the current state of affairs and they are beginning to realize just how completely Wall Street has revolutionized and commandeered the workings of government. True representitive government as the framers originally intended it to be no longer exists. The two-party system is virtually non-existant and irrelevant because there is no longer any real difference between the two main ruling parties. Each in turn are puppets for and enablers of corporations. Their greed has devastated the lives of millions and millions of ordinary citizens - our fathers and mothers, our brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. The Occupy Wall Street movement is growing louder and more vocal every day as protests emerge in more and more cities all over the nation. The movement decries the basic injustice and destructiveness of the corporate greed and malfeasance that led us into this mess and the resulting economic and environmental degradation left in the aftermath. Corporate behavior and the uncontrolled manipulation by bankers and Wall Street traders brought the global economy crashing down, forcing millions out of their jobs, out of their homes and out of the rapidly shrinking middle class. And they have the gall to call us "mobs conducting class warfare" when we dare to rise and say ENOUGHT! Democrats and Republicans worked tirelessly on corporate behalf to make it happen. Ordinary people, the so-called 99% are finally waking up to what happened. The dots are being connected. They are beginning to understand their representitive form of government has been stolen and if they want it back, they have to get money out of politics and governance. There is a counterrevolution being born. The only real hope for the emergence of real and fundamental change lies in whether or not enough people can and will come together to make it happen. Join the movement. Join the counter revolution. Take to the streets. March on Washington. Rise up off the couch and the easy chair and get active. Speak out. Support economic justice and truely representitive government. Take back our birthright from the corporations and their wealthy owners who have stolen it for their own enrichment.
"Take back our birthright" Which is what, a guaranteed living wage no matter if you work or not. WTF is wrong with you people. You make your own way in this world, and not expect anyone to give you anything. It has worked very well for me. Problem is you are all pussies that can not make your own way or too damn lazy to do it.

" One party works for the rich, the other party works for all Americans" I stopped reading here. Why don't you look up the Net Worth of some of your "party members". Do you think they got that way by catering to all Americans? Why don't you investigate the Obama/Goldman Sachs connection? How about the Kennedy's...there is some good Democrats working for the "people".
you are not ows
Dude, you are seriously screwed up. I am one of the 99% you people do not speak for me. You are all being played for a bunch of fools by the Socialist backers of your cause. I am so sick of your type, progressive idiots. You bunch of loosers are going no where fast. You fools could not survive on your own for ten minutes where I come from. Where I come from we do not rely on the government for anything, we go out and work for what we have and are proud of it. Iam fast approaching being one of the 1% and know one gave me shit, I earned everything I have by staying on the job for 32 years and busting my ass. Yes, I am considered rich by some standards, but don't owe you shit. Get a fucking job. You make me sick!!!!
Oh I am so hurt. You keep telling people "you are not ows" your 99% is going to dwindle to 2% in a hurry.
thats my point people like you who took the term 99% out of context we ment we are the middle class the real americans not the Tea party so called movement of average americans
LOL :) I love how uneducated the people are that are telling me I am not OWS. I wonder how the movement as whole would feel about that.
Oh and by the way, the Republicans and the Tea Party are JUST as bad as you progressives.
Both are corrupt, and Progressives are another word for socialists.
you are not ows
This guy is not only not the #OWS. He's a violent lurking idiot:

Or just completely fed up with people trying to dictate how I am "supposed to live." I don't watch TV anymore because I am sick of the Gay agenda, the Liberal news and the constant hate talk of Christians. Its in the TV, Radio, advertising. Sick to death of it.. I do not go forcing my religious views, which are not Christian, down anyones throat, I am sick and tired of seeing and hearing it on every freaking channel on TV and movies. I boycotted every company that advertised with Will and Grace, and continue to do so, with all the others. And if for one second you think that shit will happen in my son's school, I will have to be arrested because I will kill that son of a bitch who thinks my 2nd grader needs to know about alternative lifestyles. Only I have the right to teach my child about that.. So sick of all this.. I seriously hope God does come down and do to the world what he did to Sodom and Ghamorrah.. We could use the peace and quite.
