Forum Post: Taxes: A more suitable balance.

In the original Constitution the only tax was a sales or commerce tax. This is the only true democratic tax as it applies to all in the same manner. It does need to be applied to all transactions including the purchase of a home, business and stocks, etc. to be effective. When evenly applied it is in the best interest of Congress to keep the rate as low as possible.
