Forum Post: Taking OWS to the next level

I have not had a chance to learn the financial state of OWS, but presume it to be less than 1 million USD. Is this true? Can anyone shed light on this?

I only ask because if OWS wants to make significant progress, it will have to acquire MILLIONS of dollars to offset the millions (if not billions) that will be spent by the power-elite (aka Capitalists/Republicans) to squash it.  An effective battle like this requires that you work within the system to change the system. The power-elite have the means to purchase national air-time for their messages/propaganda, influence Representatives via lobbying and PACs, and do who-knows-what-else to preserve their status quo.  OWS must have similar funding to do the same that promotes it's goals.  There is no other way that I can see to make significant, effective strides to change the system.
