We have to wrest the money/power formula out of the hands of the powerful. This will be extremely difficult! They have held power for successive decades and it is a global network of powerful people (Saudi Royal Family, the Bushes, Rupert Murdoch, etc.) and their connections to global corporations comprising the military industrial complex and finance corporations (Bechtel, Haliburton, GE, BAE, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Carlyle Group, etc.)

We have to demand: 1) A compete change in the current banking laws and finance regulations. This has NOT been done under Obama.

2) No more bailouts of large corporate systems! Let the "free market" system take them down if they are corrupt or mismanage their wealth.

2) Demand to have a CHOICE of who owns your mortgage, the single largest debt most of us will ever have. Currently Bank of America holds the lion's share of mortgages in this country.

3) Eliminate loophholes allowing countries to establish their "corporate headquarters" in other countries, thereby avoiding most of their tax liability in the US.

4) Demand a simplification of our tax code (800+ pages of IRS code is where all those loopholes are hiding!) Our tax filing system must be simple, transparent and free from corporate favoritism.

5) Establish a moratorium on repayment or forgiveness of student loans of a certain size. (Some students bought cars, condos, etc. with their loans) and ensure that all student loans are INTEREST FREE.

There are many more demands, and we should be focused on a few. But when detractors say the OWS movement doesn't have a focus, therefore it's illegitimate, the reply should be that it's hard to list only a handful of demands when the corporate/-political system has fucked up so much of the world.
