The republicans are doing nothing because they don't fear loosing their jobs. Put them in fear of loosing their jobs and they'll pay attention.
Make a poster :
Take Back Our Government!
Vote Out the Wall Street Puppets!
When they see thousands of people carrying this message we will get change and jobs.
Be careful in assuming it's just the Republicans....
Obama has already collected $19M from lawyers and financiers for the 2012 election that's still over a year away. See http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/bundlers.php?id=N00009638
If you look at http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php , you'll see that it's not only Corporations giving to Republicans.
BOTH parties do the same crap over and over....
1) Solicit huge sums of money from special interests
2) Promise trifles to selected demographic groups to get elected
3) Renege on promises, serve financial backers
4) Repeat until voters get wise (don't worry, they never do)
I agree 100%. For additional arguments in favor of your position, you might be interested in my post at http://occupywallst.org/forum/one-percenter-ready-to-join-if/ and my proposal at http://occupywallst.org/forum/we-the-people-in-order-to-a-proposal/.
I Made This Poster:
Obama - give us back our government! We will vote you out and your Wall Street Puppets!
Agree. it's so freakin' annoying !
The folks at opensecrets.org seem pretty reliable and, per the data at http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/bundlers.php?id=N00009638 , Obama has collected $19 million from lawyers and financiers for his 2012 campaign, and the election is still over a year away !
Next, Obama tries to BUY a chunk of OWS votes by declaring he's in favor of student loans, but a pretty reputable financial analyst at http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2011/10/obamas-student-loan-action-wont-have-much-impact/247411/ says it's worth $4-8 for the average student.
Standard plan....
1) Solicit huge sums of money from special interests
2) Promise trifles to selected demographic groups to get elected
3) Renege on promises, serve financial backers
4) Repeat until voters get wise, if ever.
I'm so tired of this crap, and BOTH parties do it.
Gog bless you all
