Is there any Occupy event planned to stand in solidarity with Syria? People actually die at these protests, which, as bad as the brutality in the States has been, makes it look pretty tame in comparison.

I think it's good to remember that these things are happening all over and this movement is a global phenomenon, not just one about U.S. politics.

There has also been large protests in Montreal recently, Nov. 10 i believe.

http://calgary.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20111110/quebec-students-stage-tuition-fee-strike-111110/20111110/?hub=CalgaryHome

From the article;

"Though exact numbers weren't available, some estimates put the crowd at around 200,000. Many students carried signs and shouted slogans decrying the fee increase."

200,000 is pretty substantial turnout.
