It's starting to look like I won't be able to afford the winter gear I want to take with me to Liberty Square next week. Judging by my Facebook news feed, various occupy movements around the country seem to be recieving donations of blankets/tarps/etc. Is this something I should be worried about or should I just go and trust that it'll be taken care of? I'm considering selling my old Fender jazz bass. It's a family heirloom- the only one.

Do not sell the bass. I'd love to see protesters in cold weather cities move south for the winter. I'd push for that. It's the only way to keep this thing going. Donations have poured in from all over the country. Why not use the funds for a mass migration?

How much?

It's worth a couple grand, but I'd take a couple hundred at this point.
